Now that we have returned having smoked several restaurants in the Trip Advisor top 10, we can say without doubt this was the classiest best restaurant in Bermuda especially to celebrate the evening of our 43 rd Anniversary. I can now see why so many couples celebrate their special occasions here . Located just outside of the downtown Hamilton’s, It’s a bit tricky using google maps as there are a number of small lanes to navigate and we were driving through some ritzy neighborhoods. Once arrived , parking was right infront of the Hotel where this restaurant is located, Royal Palms , clearly a boutique Hotel. Once you climb the stairs ( BTW many places with stairs in Bermuda) the restaurant is right there and that’s where the impeccable service begins. An amazing staff of Sri Lankans , Europeans etc . Jesse took pictures in the courtyard and then Jane who was our server but it’s a team of excellent staff. For appetizers we ordered tempura shrimp and an amazing spinach salad. Then Branzino for each of us and ended with red velvet cake with chocolate in a nice surprised special plate for our anniversary. Food was excellent , service was excellent and even though pricy was in par with a very good restaurant in New York City. A definite recommend for all of you even those on the cruise ships that have meals included. The evening will be one worth remembering . BYW touch of class in that they do not include a line for extra gratuity betting the standard 17 %.

Stayed 4-nights in January for the Bermuda Triangle Challenge Races. This boutique hotel is an excellent alternative to the expensive rooms recommended by the race itself. The staff here could not be more friendly or accommodating. Our room was spacious, clean and bright. This king suite included a kitchenette area, walk-in closet with robes and pool towels for our use, a large safe, and a large bathroom with tub. Our room was serviced every day. Common areas were very comfortable and well attended by the staff. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and wine-hour in the evenings where we chatted with other guests and the staff. The hotel is an easy walk into Hamilton and very central for all the challenge races. We could not be happier with our stay here and look forward to coming back and visiting again!

A quaint & charming little colonial property within walking distance of probably 20 restaurants or more including the highly rated Ascots which is part of the hotel. Also within walking distance is the bus and ferry terminals, downtown waterfront, railway trail, grocery market and shopping. The rooms are nice and it's had coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator. The staff is outstanding and within a day we felt more like we lived there rather than visitors. The morning breakfast is very good with fruits, muffins and coffee & tea and is a prefect to start the day as well as a good chance to ask the staff for tips on your planned itinerary. Katrina and Sonja were particular helpful with planning and Sonja made us feel so much at home. Very sad to have had to head home.

5 stars! Beautiful and more so in person than in pictures, classy and it might be the only bug free hotel in town. (based on what I have read from other hotel managers. They all admit to having bugs and the Royal Palm hotel does not have bugs! I read Oysters review that a con is it is not close to the beach. In Bermuda you dont want to be close to the beach because even the high end hotels have flying cockroaches! The Royal Palms is bug free. For me the only con is not having handicapped bathrooms and not being handicapped friendly. I was not handicapped when I arrived in Bermuda but I was when I left. I found out I have a tumor causing chaos in my body and I only found out recently though our trip to Bermuda was July of 2016. In the US by law all hotels have to be handicapped friendly. The Royal Palms hotel in Bermuda is much more beautiful in person than any of the pictures could possibly show! I stayed there on our wedding anniversary July 4 2016. I broke my ankle in 2 places and didnt recover. I only recently found out it is from a parathyroid tumor. We chose this hotel after laboring through reviews for weeks in the beach areas of Bermuda. The only reason we didn't stay at the beach is each and every single hotel we looked at had reviews about flying cockroaches and these were expensive 4 star hotels. Not only that nobody from the hotels in question would apologize! They would give some really arrogant and annoying response and a mantra about Bermuda being a "subtropical island." It seems to be like a mantra for many hotels in Bermuda or like they are reading a script when responding about flying cockroaches, to make excuses about bugs. That is unacceptable anywhere else in the world! So the reason we stayed at the Royal Palms was it is bug free! And pink is my favorite color! The hotel is pink! My hubby and I have stayed in tropical and subtropical islands! None of those hotels had bugs! The Royal Palms is bug free and we were even in a garden room and had to leave the terrace open a bit due to my medical emergency. Most of the other hotels claim if you leave the terrace open you will get bugs and they act like you deserve it! I am happy to report the Royal Palms is bug free in spite of a review saying they have bugs!

Google would not give me more space to write a longer review though I did. If you want a bug free hotel stay here! In addition it is near all of the restaurants. The staff at Royal Palms handled my medical emergency with professionalism and refunded our money. The accident had nothing to do with the hotel but they were compassionate to help us out! If I ever recover enough to travel to Bermuda we would stay...

As our taxi pulled up to the Royal Palms Hotel, Jade was standing there warmly greeting us. We had booked by phone with her and found she is even more skilled and charming in person! |Our luggage was whisked off to our beautiful room, and our much anticipated return to Bermuda unfolded into one beautiful memory after another. |Mornings began with a lovely breakfast, set out in the glass walled sunroom, with a daily warm dish, waffles, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, juices, cereals, and toasts. Maryann (who also decorated the hotel and the towering Christmas tree), along with Bali, greeted us and kept breakfast running immaculately. |The front desk staff, with manager Theresa, Jade, Prisana, and Muriel, were not only professional and friendly, but also made us feel so at home, arranging shuttle rides and taxis, answering questions, seeing to our every need, and arranging afternoon wine and cheese. |The reception rooms are beautiful and welcoming places to relax. On our stroll to our room the tiny tree frogs chimed a musical welcome. The immaculate gardens are strung with twinkle lights, making it look and feel like a tropical fairyland. |We also enjoyed Christmas lunch at Ascots, the wonderful restaurant at the hotel, where the food is excellent, along with talented and gracious staff. Our amazing server, Anil, took the time to take perfect photos of us in front of their Christmas tree. The bartender made me a special cosmo one evening and Dani made me the best Bellini ever!|Needless to say, we have already booked to return to this beautiful garden paradise… the delightfully run Royal...
