Blest Palermo — Restaurant in Autonomous City of Buenos Aires

Terrible service and extremely rude staff. We were told to sit outside, waited for over 30 minutes for someone to come get our order. As no one was coming we went up 2 times to different employees and were literally almost “shooed” out when we tried to go get ourselves our own drinks at the bar (which is allowed). At that point we didn’t even care about the poor service and all we wanted was a beer yet they wouldn’t even allow us to do that. Eventually after having waited 45 minutes, at a table we were told to sit at, and that we would be getting a server “soon”, we were forced to leave if we ever planned on getting a drink or some food that night. Glad I didn’t give these people my money, also heard that there beers and drinks are very subpar. CAREFUL if you go, they will serve you based on looks and were very unpleasant staff...

We arrived at the place and it was really nicely decorated and there is a good atmosphere. For those who don't know, the place used to be a big house and they turned it into a beer bar/restaurant. We ordered a falafel sandwich and it came really not tasty, but the waiters were kind enough to cancel it for us. The Spinach and cheese empanadas were very delayed but they gave us two as gifts and they were very tasty. The beers we drank today are delicious and refreshing. Fuimos durante el feriado del primero de mayo, así que había una concurrencia muy baja. El ambiente es amplio, cálido y agradable, sin música aturdidora. Respecto a la experiencia gastronómica, las papas con cheddar, verdeo y panceta son un mil! Tenían buena cantidad y sabor. 🍟 Las cervezas tiradas estaban regulares tirando a malas, la "honey" no estaba fea pero poco tenía que ver con sabor a miel. La de "frambuesa" era un espanto, literalmente parecía cerveza con jarabe. La única que fue rescatable es la APA, pero nada sorprendente como en otras cervecerías probé. 🍺 Respecto a la atención, lamentablemente el personal que nos atendió no tenía ganas de trabajar: la mesera que primero nos tomó el pedido nunca nos trajo las empanadas de verdura que pedimos. Después nos atendió otro mesero, al que se le notaba las cero ganas de atender, venía siempre con actitud desganada. Pocas veces ví un empleado tan evidente. Datos de color 🎨: los posavasos son con motivos de tipos de cervezas que venden. A nosotros nos tocó el de APA (ver foto) y nos encantó.
