Shades of old Saigon in Palermo..a truly wonderful establishment that deserves to have its praise sung from the rooftops of Buenos Aires.
Extremely well organised in the ritzy district of Buenos Aires this restaurant and bar rights its own rules from the delightful Chinoise decor through an extensive menu of both cuisine and cocktails.. a pleasure to visit for both locals and tourists alike.
Surrounded by the beautiful people of this district the service was worthy of any Michellin star restaurant..special thanks to Adrian.. the gentleman responsible for the best service I have received in such a long time.. he was genuinely friendly and took the time not only to explain both the food and drink menus.. he also made excellent recommendations from both that was enjoyed by all.
The atmosphere was cool ..chic and sophisticated with just the right volume from the DJ as well as a bar area that was not over crowded where it easy to have a conversation without the need to yell ... the vibe was extraordinary.
If you are looking for.. THAT ..place to chill out and enjoy the vibe at reasonable prices.. extraordinary service and delightful authentic Vietnamese hawker style food..look no further.....
Read moreThe place is super cool and the ambience is top. Food too. Sadly the service is BELOW expectations. We ate on the first floor/vip room. You would expect a white glove service there. 1)It was freezing cold!! They left the balcony door open most of the night, servers didn’t close the door every time they were going inside out. 2) the manager asked my husband if we could move to another table while he was on the bathroom line without any explanation 3) ten minutes after that they came to our table and asked us to move tables in the middle of our meal cause they had a party of four coming and wanted to accommodate them. We ended up moving as we basically couldn’t do anything. The party of four came in and it ended up being a famous actor, crazy to think they prioritize someone famous over other customers. They felt bad and one server invited us a round of drinks, the problem is that the manager didn’t say anything nor came to apologize to our table, she only grabbed us before we left and said sorry for talking to my partner in the bathroom. It’s a shame Cochinchina has such...
Read moreCristal was great, everything else not so much. My sister and I visited because this bar was on the world’s top cocktail bar list. We went around 9pm- I loved the atmosphere but you could tell it gets clubby (and influencer galore) later at night. I first had the Blend de las Buenos and my sister had the En casa de. The En casa de was fantastic, but the Blend de las Buenos wasn’t as mezcal forward as I expected. We also tried the Alforsina, which was chocolate forward but it was decent enough. The worst part of our experience was a male bartender (bleach blonde hair tips) that was so pushy. We were unsure if we wanted to eat so we reviewed the menu. He came over 4-5 times while we were reviewing the menu to check in on us. When we decided we didn’t want anything to eat, he asked us if we don’t like the menu - rather than accepting we just didn’t want to eat. I’d say pass, Tres Monos (ranked #10) was better and much less...
