We were looking for affordable dinner in Paraty ( which is hard to find as everything in the town is overpriced ) and stumbled across this place. We both order Stroganoff for R$49 per person. It was noted that it would be served with fries and rice. We waited for about 50 minutes for our plates, and when they finally got here… the disappointment. 1/4 of the plate was salad ( no dressing, just salad leaves and a slice of tomato ), 1/4 was fries, 1/4 rice and 1/4 the stroganoff. The plate was an average size dinner plate so you can imagine that the quantity was quite disappointing. The food wasn’t exceptional, it was … meh. For the quality, quantity and the ridiculous waiting time, i would avoid. We left not feeling full nor satisfied...
Read morePossibly the worst dinner I ever had. Paying 200 BRL for two to eat a “moqueca” and a couple of drinks. Ridiculous for the TRASH we have eaten. Or tried to.

I’ve lived in Paraty a decade ago. Working as a restauranteur. So I know what I’m talking about.
Tourists! Beware. Awaken!
If you look for serious and good food in Paraty... there are one or another place with RIDICULOUS prices. But that’s it.
As for this place... tourist trap! Avoid! Avoid!

I read some critical reviews of the place while waiting for the food and I was afraid what will come. After trying the food I had an impression that it is the unfair and more expensive competition which makes those comments. Highly recommended by guests...
