We are a Vietnamese and a German, living in Berlin.

The restaurant looks very nice, it is very inviting, the staff very friendly, they all seem to speak English, some Spanish. The menu offered "the classics", the price level relatively high (above Berlin).

We went for Papaya Salad, Pad Thai and Green Curry with squid. All dishes looked nice, but: the Pad Thai was not at all delicious - extremely salty, the tamarind and fish sauce flavours we like so much were hard to taste.

The Green Curry was okay, with a lot of squid, the rice would be stickier in Asia.

The Papaya salad had little shrimp but was also ok.

The biggest disappointment was that instead of bringing a new Pad Thai with less salt, the chef simply added some sugar to (sorry) the mess. When we asked the waiter again, he said "the recipe is fixed, the chef must not change it", offered that we could have it with no salt at all (really, Pad Thai with no salt at all?!) or another dish instead.

Maybe he had a bad day, but to be honest, we can't recommend this restaurant. If we take Berlin's Thai market as a benchmark, well, it was neither authentic nor good fusion. We would recommend one of the great local Brazilian...

There were some mixed reviews about this restaurant, but here’s my experience. I arrived at just the right time and didn’t have to wait for a table, though it did take a while for my food to come out.

I ordered a cocktail, Tom Yum soup, and Pad Thai. The cocktail was tasty, though it didn’t feel very strong — not sure if that’s a good or bad thing. The Tom Yum soup was excellent: sweet, salty, sour, savory and the right level of spiciness, with lots of seafood. It was very flavorful and probably the highlight of my meal.

The Pad Thai came about 15 minutes later. I was craving noodles, and this was the only noodle dish available. It tasted fine, but it didn’t quite resemble a traditional Pad Thai. It was more like a regular stir-fried noodle dish and seemed to be missing the distinct tangy-sour notes from tamarind paste.

Service-wise, I had to wait a while to get the check and eventually went up to the counter to pay. The restaurant was completely packed, which I think speaks to its popularity.

Our wonderful hotel suggested this restaurant and it was a superb choice! Service was very polite and friendly, we were given an English menus which was very helpful. As the portions in Brazil seem to be pretty large, we decided to choose one starter and one main course, and share them both at the same time. This was a great idea and enough food for two people.. unless you’re a fatty ;-) So, we shared the: SEA FOOD SALAD (With BEAN SPROUTS, ONION, GARLIC CHiVES and CORIANDER, and as a main we shared the: RED FiSH CURRY (With VEGETABLES and KAFFIR LIME LEAVES), which came with a portion of steamed rice. The herbs are grown in the restaurant garden - that’s pretty cool ! We asked to have the spicy hot versions of both dishes and the spice levels were great. Also not to forget the drinks, we had a couple and these were excellent- see the photos! All in all, a very good restaurant I’d highly recommend.

Thai Brasil is amazing in so many ways! From the exterior to the interior décor and our dishes, everything is beautiful and welcoming. The food is delicious, but what really stood out for me, and what I highly recommend, is the waitress Kerem (sorry for any misspelling). She is absolutely fabulous—a waitress who speaks English, French, and of course Portuguese. The fact that she can speak multiple languages is fantastic for us tourists, but more importantly, her humor, joy, and recommendations are top-notch. She truly adds to the success of the establishment, and I did not hesitate on the tips were given to her for her incredible service. I highly recommend this waitress and, of course, the cuisine!
