What a disappointing way to end our beautiful holiday in Rio. We arrived shortly after 8pm and ordered quite quickly. At 8:40 we realised that our food was taking too long, so we asked one of the employees to check on it - and they hadn’t put the order through. The order eventually arrived but the gnocchi was not fully cooked and the sauce was very salty. We ordered drinks that were never delivered and one bottled water that did arrive took 15 minutes and wasn’t the one ordered. After eating our dinner we asked for our bill which took another 20min to get to us ( and only because I was already standing and waiting for my Uber). We asked for compensation ( a service fee of $28 reais and two bottles of water - that would’ve summed up to $16ish reais) and one of the managers blamed me for miscommunication with his staff and left without so much as an apology for the embarrassing service they provided. He turned his back to us and left without much care for our feedback (that we shared in a well mannered way). A nice young lady took care of us after her manager left her to deal with the consequences of his bad management. Embarrassing behaviour. You can get much better for a almost $300reais dinner. Don’t...
Read moreThis place is a perfect example that you can't be a high end restaurant just because it has a stunning interior. Long story short, you get disappointed because you expect a lot more quality. It's a nice place, but they totally mess up the Italian part. The carbonara isn't a carbonara, it's just a pasta with white sauce and bacon. They used bucatini not spaghetti. They used Grandma Padano cheese, which is better than Parmegiano. But where is the Pecorino? The bacon was just some (cold) smoked pieces of meat thrown in to the pan with the pasta. The bacon has to be cooked so the fat can mix with the dish!!! The sauce was definitely not a creamy mix of pecorino, pasta water and egg yolk. At least there should be one more egg yolk in there. Then the carbonara was topped with parsley, that's not right either. Where was the the black pepper? The bread table was good. But c'mon, you don't take charged for bread! That should come for free in a high end place. I mean, the place looks stunning. But it's clear that the there's no passion in the cooking. And that part is the most important thing. We ended up spending 180 R for 2 meal, 2 beers. That's way...
Read moreIf you´re looking for a restaurant who takes good care of their customers your absolutely wrong here.
The music was too loud, you couldn´t have a proper conversation there. the spices on the table are in small paper bags and soaked a lot of water. You can´t use the salt properly the dishes of my aunt sitting next to me were removed. We asked if she can get new ones, they told us it will happen in the next minutes. until i´ve left the restaurant because of the bad behaviour of the manager she didn´t got new dishes.
i asked the waitress to bring the next course, about 20 minutes later we got told, by the manager, it would take about 25 minutes more. the manager of the restaurant lied strictly into our faces that he just recieved the order for the main course about 10 minutes before he told us it would take at least about 25 minutes or more until the main course is ready, at this point we already spend there over one hour. when i told him that he´s lying he...
