I invited 8 foreigner colleagues -some of then for a first time in Brazil- to enjoy a dinner where I would like to offer some Brazilian hospitality and local flavours. What a mistake! What a disaster! It is difficult to start telling what went wrong, because ALL went wrong. Incompetent service by staff completely unqualified. For instance, no one came to ask us for drinks. The waiter did not know the menu so it was a nightmare to order. After 20 minutes waiting at the table with no one assisting us I insisted to have at least water! They brought glasses of tap water tasting bleach, at room temperature. It is the first time I found water disgusting! The starters suggested by the waiter were too little for the group. Ordering more was a nightmare as the waiters could not provide any guidance and actually did not want us to order!!! First time ever I see waiters in a restaurant asking you not to order!!! I ended up ordering the only plate I knew there: muquecas. It took one hour to prepara and it and was served COLD!!! They did not know how to serve the plates or the drinks, to the level that they brought food to share but no spoons! The cold pirão was extremely salty. The juices had mediocre quality, took ages to come, and one of them (swiss lemonade) was simply undrinkable. I asked for sugar, which they brought without spoons! Also food plates to share were put on the table without spoons!!! I insisted and they finally got mini plastic spoons that could not mix the liquid in the glasses. The mediocre service ruined the evening. The food was of low quality and high priced, which contributed to the disaster. The waiter did not want us to order because he did not know the menu! I ended up asking them to call the manager- but he or she never came. Disappointed and upset we paid the exhorbitant bill and rush out of the...
Read moreWe had lunch here on August 13 with a reservation, but were given an uncomfortable table right next to the service station, where waiters kept passing by. We ordered two starters, codfish for two, and two cocktails. The cocktails were good.
Our waitress didn’t speak English, and we speak only a little Portuguese. Service, however, was poor. They brought our starters along with two small cups of soup, without explaining anything. We assumed the soup was complimentary. My husband ate his, and I just tasted mine and left it aside because it wasn’t good at all. Twenty minutes later, the waitress returned and said the soup wasn’t for us and that we would have to pay for it - it turned out to be caldo at 18 reais each - even though we never ordered it! We couldn’t argue due to the language barrier, but this is unacceptable for a restaurant of this level. When serving the codfish, the waitress began dividing the fish and rice onto our plates right at the table, but did it so carelessly that the table ended up covered in sauce and rice. The codfish was mediocre and definitely overpriced. Not recommended. ——— Update after owner’s reply: The restaurant claims they “never serve what has not been ordered,” but in our case two bowls of caldo soup were delivered to our table, unrequested. This is exactly what happened, regardless of...

.CocoBambu has good quality food and service — -I like their food, not only because it is good, but because it's a different menu.
.Their Cocktail bar are wide open for everyone, even kids — -They can serve non-alcoholic drinks for the kids, and alcoholic drinks for the 18+ customers, varying a lot.
Important points for assessment: -Good service customers -5 stars on the google site -PlayGround for 2-8 age kids -The food never gets badly delivered
The place where CocoBambu is located is very secure because it's inside of the mall, with a lot of security guards. Inside of the restaurant you can still find some of the security guards of the mall who get paid to secure the local. You can also find a PlayGround for the kids on the side of the CockTail bar, where they serve juice and non-alcoholic drinks for the kids. The food can be very expensive but they are worth it, not only because it's good food, but because it's a different menu, varying from other restaurants. If you forgot to use any bathroom item, you can also find that inside of CocoBambu’s bathroom, where they serve you deodorant, MouthWash,Chewing gum and dental floss. They serve this in case you forget to use any of...
