Galetos is where you go to find Brazilian food if you don't want to put in effort to find better Brazilian food. Everything looks right, but the flavors are pretty basic. The feijoada is the best example I can give. There were absolutely no beans in the dish. Zero. It's like ordering red beans and rice but getting broth and rice. They somehow served a black bean stew without beans. It's pretty salty bordering on overly salted, and without the beans the texture was wrong. The sides were good but that's not why you order this dish. At least you can order the feijoada for one. Explore a bit more and you'll find better food. Delicious, simple, straight-forward, & traditional menu. The pizza is truly gigantic and the burger and chicken sandwich were both solid. The rice and beans were soooo tasty and the beer came in large bottles with coolers and small cups. Perfect corner spot with lots of seating and daily specials. I had dinner here twice while I was in Rio - really good. Casual spot, just walk in off the street and sit down. I'm not sure if any of the staff speak English but I got by with basic Portuguese - they were all cool and friendly.

Pretty good selection on the menu and the couple things I got (picanha one night, frango a passarhino another time) were really good, at a reasonable price, and a pretty generous portion.
