Beautiful Hotel, exemplary staff, great location I had an incredible stay. B&B is an inexpensive hotel for the area, but my experience was as good as hotels I’ve stayed in for much more. I stayed in the Deluxe Double, with sound proof balcony doors. They are still renovating more rooms, so the Deluxe is one of the newer rooms. Clean, spacious, beautiful, with a large balcony. the staff was just exceptional and they helped me many times over during my 1 month stay. Hugo, Ivan, Lucas, Isabella, Tuca, Vanessa are the ones I interacted with most and were always helpful, informative, and kind during my many many questions and requests, but really, they all were so great. There is always someone at the front desk plus a security guard. The area is super safe, with 3 beach entrances, Copacabana and Aproador, within a few seconds walk. several restaurants are across the street, and just around the corner, a grocery store. The hotel has a restaurant, swimming pool, and laundry machines on site. there were always plenty of options for breakfast. My stay here was one of the best things about Rio. PS- I am a remote worker, and found the internet was great, I easily streamed zoom meetings and uploaded my work, no problem. I am also a solo female traveller, and I always felt safe and supported here. I hope...
Read moreWe stayed in this B&B for the first time in December 2022 and very much enjoyed its location. It's indeed not very clean (sandy floors), but what can you expect from an hotel right in between Copacabana and Ipanema.
We decided to come back in February 2024 for Carnaval, and even advised our friends to book their stay in this hotel because of its location.
Only on the last night, when we were preparing for our check-out the next day to leave the city, we realized that the (cleaning) staff has been going through my luggage and that money disappeared.
I immediately reported this to reception, who couldn't really help without getting a police report. We were leaving early the next day, and a police report wouldn't result in the return of the missing money, which really made our stay a negative experience.
Yes, there was a safebox in the room, which we didn't use, simply because I trust hotel staff not to go through people's luggage.
This has never happened before to any of our stays in Brazil or anywhere else in the world. It's also frustrating to not get any help in this matter from reception, while they knew we were about to leave the city.
Unfortunately this was the last time we're staying in the B&B and would recommend everyone to think twice before...
Read moreMy stay at B&B Copacabana offered a mix of positives and negatives. Situated perfectly between Copacabana and Arpoador/Ipanema, the hotel boasts an ideal location for exploring the vibrant neighborhoods. The reception team greeted me warmly, and the restaurant staff was equally friendly, adding to the welcoming atmosphere.
The rooms were spacious, clean, and equipped with comfy beds and a great shower, ensuring a comfortable stay. However, my experience in Tower 1 was overshadowed by the outdated and somewhat frightening lifts. The noise they made and their overall condition left much to be desired, giving a sense of uncertainty with each use. Furthermore, the cleanliness of communal areas in Tower 1, was lacking. The lifts and corridors were in poor condition, indicating a need for renovation. It’s worth noting that renovations were underway during my visit, but it’s disappointing that these issues were allowed to escalate before action was taken. Despite these drawbacks, B&B Copacabana offers good value for money, especially considering its prime location. With some necessary renovations and improvements to maintenance standards, it has the potential to be an exceptional choice for travelers seeking comfort and convenience in...
