My wife and I visited here with high expectations and they exceeded it. The service was top notch and the food was amazing. I would recommend trying their 7-tasting menu to enjoy the creativity of the chef!

We had a great view of Ipanema after sunset. The tables are well space and the food is paced very well. We particularly enjoyed the sea bass and Atlantic tripletail which they said was freshly caught and served. I believe it. Every course was fantastic.

We returned for breakfast the next morning and loved it. The view was even better and the food is great.

Recommendations for this restaurant - I tried to call twice for reservations but each time couldn't get someone who spoke English. Leverage the concierge service of the Sheraton. That was the only way I could confirm reservations. Or allow some booking online. It would have been great to speak to someone ahead of our trip, nevertheless 5 stars!

Accessibility is perfect. Anyone in a wheelchair or needing accommodations this restaurant is excellent. Restrooms are in the hallway, should be no issues at all.

Lastly, ask for Cosme. Amazing server and could not have done a better service. Respectful...

A business trip to RJ afforded the opportunity to enjoy a relaxing evening at L'Etoile and experience their tasting menu paired with Chef's choice of wine. This turned out to be the best choice of my week. Every aspect of this experience exceeded my expectations. Since my visit was during the should season following summer, I was able to secure a reservation two days in advance. I believe during the high season or on weekend one must plan ahead... Our table host for the evening was Almir - gracious, knowledgeable, engaging and patient. His presence added to the enjoyment of the dinner. Every course was presented elegantly and paired perfectly with a cellar offering - a wonderful way to explore some lesser-known regions of South America through their grapes. Through the 7+ courses/wines the dishes were all beautifully adorned and tasted amazing. The timing was never rushed - service, explanation of food/wine and focus of the dish - and the elegant pairings enhanced the variety of flavors presented in each plate. Top 10 best dessert I’ve ever had in my life eating at different Michelin star restaurants around the world. If you like yogurt and beetroot this is the absolute best in the world. If you are in Rio, and you don’t want a 7 course or 11 course tasting menu, at least come here and try the beetroot yogurt dessert. On the rooftop of the Sheraton Grand hotel, reservation required, amazing chef with friendly and attentive staffs. I love this Michelin star restaurant because it is totally unpretentious and very accommodating. Tasting menu is amazing and highly recommended. What I did was ordering a tasting menu for one person and then I added 4 additional entrees making it a 11 course meal shared by 2. I would recommend ordering seafood instead of meat.
