We almost missed the place, because it is a bit of a hole in the wall. Please please please don’t let the look of the entrance turn you off going in.
Yes the decor is a bit crumby and the chairs are a bit uncomfortable, but all of this is made completely irrelevant once you sit down to eat.
We were lucky enough to be the first ones in for the night, so we got the owner’s full attention. He politely asked us if it was our first time having Korean BBQ and after I told him it was, he guided us through the whole experience. He helped grill our pork & beef at the table and talked us through every single thing that was on the table. We were shown how to combine all of the different things on the table into something incredible.
All in all I think he spent at least 20 minutes at our table explaining, telling stories and showing us different flavour combinations. And all of that for the criminally low price of 180 real.
This was an unforgettable experience for my wife and I and if we are ever back in SP, we will be coming here again.
Thank you...
Read moreI loved the food, the simplicity, the authenticity and the service. The restaurant is not fancy but authentic with excellent food.
When I was there all customers were Asians (or of Asian descent, most probably Korean but I am no expert ;-) except for one table. I guess this tells a lot. I had to wait a reasonable time for my order to be ready which, to me, is another good sign.
As I had been sick the days before, I decided to go for a light meal based on the kind suggestions of the waiter. The meal was perfect. The price was sweet. Due to my condition I had to avoid spicy food but I will return to enjoy more of the Korean cuisine...
Read moreI've been traveling all over South America for the past couple of months, and this was the first time I had good/any authentic Korean food. Located technically in the basement, you need someone to ring you in, it reminds me of an immigrant family restaurant (in a good way). Typically you can't get Gyeranjjim (Korean Steamed Egg Souffle) on its own as it's normally served as a small side dish in Korean BBQ. I love it so much and when I saw they sell it here as an individual portion,...
