Sans Souci Café e Confeitaria — Restaurant in Região Imediata de Taubaté-Pindamonhangaba

I gave this place two stars because it seems to be more instagrammable than functional. While the employees were kind, the kitchen didn’t seem to function in a manner that accommodated demand. So it took so long to get my order that I had to cancel and leave. That was disappointing. Also, they ran out of certain foods and didn’t prepare backups in a timely manner, so one had to wait for the kitchen to prepare new batches of food. Also, the interior decoration is excessive. I felt a bit overwhelmed by the decor. The restaurant should invest more in strengthening the cafe’s capacity to meet demand in a shorter period of time rather than distracting clients with interior decorations. Despite having employees, there wasn’t wait staff the took orders and delivered food. Instead one accesses the menu via a QR code then orders at the counter. This was inconvenient and if you arrive alone or as part of a large group, then this movement is really inconvenient and disruptive. The prices were very high, too. Stopped by Sans Souci Café e Confeitaria for a short break. The place has a cute and cozy ambiance that makes it inviting, but the quality of what we tried could use a bit more attention.

We ordered the tiramisu, two croissants (one with tomato and one with cheese), a small hot chocolate, and an espresso with cream. The espresso was very nice and had great flavor. The tiramisu, however, was lacking…… the coffee flavor was weak. The croissants were fine but nothing special.

The biggest miss for me was the hot chocolate. It didn’t have that rich, authentic taste and seemed mixed with something less traditional.

Overall, it’s a pleasant spot to sit and relax, but the taste and quality of the food and drinks didn’t quite match the charm...

Super cozy bistro. Excellent place to stop for a hot beverage in the afternoon. For a moment I felt like I was in a mountain refuge after a day of snowboarding. We ordered espresso, hot cocoa and a croissant. The croissant 🥐 was delicious. Crispy on the outside and buttery in the inside. It was soooo good, we had to order a second one. You can choose butter, berries marmalade or fruit jam. The cakes and pão de queijo looked delicious too. The sitting area is ample and you can sit in either high tables, sofas, long or small tables. There is also a kids zone with toys, blackboard and small tables. Service is slow. Be patient. Get a table...
