Posì Terrazza — Restaurant in Região Geográfica Imediata do Rio de Janeiro

Food is excellent and the vibe of the restaurant is very nice. But I want to say be careful ordering wine. My friend ordered a wine that cost over 800e by mistake (she did not notice the price). I accept that we ordered it but the waiter should have highlighted this was a very expensive wine but did not. At no point was this brought up. I feel this is very bad practice as a customer such as us may make this mistake and then not have the money to pay for the wine. I have been to many high end restaurants who do this and highlight the price even for a 30e wine to address any confusion. To me this should never happen and the restaurant should train it's staff to highlight expensive wine prices before opening them. I can't help but feel the waiter was just happy that his service charge would be high based on the wine price and chose not to say that the wine was very expensive...

When we arrived we were told there were no table available. The minute I asked my husband if he would rather go to Esplanada Grill Restaurant, miraculously there was a table free, actually there were 3!!!! The service was appalling. We both ordered starters and main. One starter arrived and the waiter put in the middle to be shared. I said no, each one has a starter. Time passed, my husband started eating and nothing came for me. After a while I asked for my starter and I was informed it was not available. I chose something else and it arrived 20 minutes after my husband had finished eating his. As for the main, nothing to write home about. One could notice that the fish had been sitting ready for a long time. It was dry and over cooked. Maybe Posi is a place people go to see and be seen and not for the food....

So many great dishes on this menu to recommend! Don’t miss the lobster for two — although if you love lobster as much as I do, you might be able to eat this one and a half lobster by yourself.

On the appetizer side: there’s one major recommendation! The stracciatella with the different accompaniments. Some of the best I have had outside of Italy. Really!

The pasta with the langoustine is also to die for if you like seafood. If they ask whether you want the langoustine with or without shell, always choose with shell. It makes them much yummier!!

Their drink menu is also incredible. I love L’Inizio so much. Please, Posì, never remove it from your menu!!

And the desserts are also not to be missed. Have any of them, you can’t go wrong here.
