Vietnamese Food That Feels Like a Warm Hug! Today was all about comfort food and a little culinary teleportation. We picked up BĂĄnh Bao, Pork Bento Box, and BĂșn CháșŁ, and let me tell you—pure magic in every bite! The BĂĄnh Bao? Oh. My. WOW. Soft, pillowy, and just the right kind of fluffy, like a little edible cloud hugging the most delicious filling. The taste instantly brought back memories of dim sum feasts in Hong Kong. Honestly, if you told me these came straight from a legendary dim sum house, I’d believe you. The Pork Bento Box was the definition of comfort. Tender, fall-apart braised pork? Check. Perfectly cooked rice soaking up all those rich flavors? Double check. And that grilled skewer—juicy, smoky, and so well-marinated, I could eat a dozen of them. BĂșn CháșŁâ€”because sometimes all you need is smoky, grilled pork, fresh herbs, delicate rice noodles, and that zingy dipping sauce to make life feel lighter. It was fresh, balanced, and packed with that beautiful, classic Vietnamese flavor. And let’s talk about the place itself. A true hidden gem run by the sweetest family. The food speaks for itself—no frills, no fancy setups, just authentic, soul-warming deliciousness. They do takeaway-only, but honestly, that just means I get to bring a little piece of Vietnam home with me. Final verdict? If you love food that’s made with heart, don’t walk—RUN to this place!

Wow! I was hungry and walking around the neighborhood and saw this place and decided to stop by. They have a system of take out/ delivery so definitely keep that in mind coming here. But, since we didn’t know they were nice enough to let us dine there anyway. The family that owns this business is so incredibly nice and provided us with excellent service making us feel right at home. And, the food was so unbelievably delicious. Everything on the menu looked like it would be incredible. The food was got was beautiful, delicious, and ready quickly. I would highly highly recommend visiting Chef Viet,

Best Vietnamese I have ever tried. I was used to eat Vietnamese food every week back in the Gulf. This is simply homemade Vietnamese food which brings the experience to a whole new level. It was the freshest and tastiest Vietnamese food we could ask for. Details of the food were communicated upfront and all dietary requirements were met with understanding. We are already looking forward to ordering again from this place. And the best of it all - it costed much cheaper compared to a regular Bulgarian restaurant.

I recently visited a Chef Viet a Vietnamese restaurant here in Sofia Bulgaria, that offers takeout only, but the staff was incredibly kind and allowed me to dine inside, which I greatly appreciated.

The pho was good, and the service was excellent. As a foodie, I must point out that the noodles weren't as silky smooth as I typically prefer; instead, they had a more moisture-heavy texture. This could be due to preparation timing or technique, but it's something they might want to revisit for a smoother finish.

The broth leaned toward a saltier, beefier flavor, which I later learned is characteristic of northern-style pho — a new discovery for me! Interestingly, the pho was served with mint leaves instead of basil. While I personally prefer basil, this unique twist was still enjoyable and offered something different.

I did find that the noodles absorbed most of the broth, which left me expecting a bit more liquid in the bowl. Perhaps adjusting the broth-to-noodle ratio could improve this. There was no hoisin sauce or Sriracha available, but they did offer other condiments like fish sauce and chili sauce, which complemented the meal well.

As for the salad rolls, they were decent, but it was clear they had been pre-made rather than freshly prepared. This resulted in the rice wrap being a bit firm, which took away from the overall texture. The filling — which included chicken instead of just shrimp as I had ordered — had a somewhat bland and older taste. However, the fish sauce dip helped improve the flavor. Preparing the rolls fresh or closer to serving time could make a big difference here.

Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and I'd recommend this spot to anyone in Bulgaria craving a comforting bowl of pho. With a few small adjustments, this place has the potential to be...

As a Foodie traveller, I am so glad and happy I found this hidden gem.

Our apartment is around the corner, we stay in Sofia for 2 weeks before heading home.

After eating all the other "foods".

I need "phở" desperately, especially Vietnamese cuisine.

We were just walking by and saw phở.

A young man, the owner, was so polite and nice, explained with proud their cuisine.

So we had phở and Kim Chi fried rice with pork take away.

Foods are delighted delicious 😋 Bouillon is perfect in balance, amazing. Fried rice with Kim Chi and vegs with it was outstanding.

So today we came back for bĂșn bĂČ nướng vĂ  bĂșn bĂČ Nam Bộ.

But the kitchen was very busy and that we might need to wait for more than 5 minutes.

(I don't mind as long my food is made with love....)

But we were sent home to rest, 😁and that he will do the delivery đŸ«¶

So both bĂșn were delicious also 😋

I ordered another dishes on Wednesday and Thursday already

" Hi em, cho chị cáșŁm ÆĄn bĂ  xĂŁ em, đáș§u báșżp náș„u ăn tháșt lĂ  ngon vĂŽ cĂčng. HĂȘn gáș·p tỄi em ở...
