I will never go to this place again. The service is awful. We went at 22 o'clock to eat, because their working hours are to 24 o'clock. The waitress looked at us in astonishment, and said: "You will eat at 22 o'clock? You will have to order something very quickly". Within 2 minutes she came 3 times to invite us to order. You understand that we can't read the menu so quickly and make a choice, if she didn't leave us alone. The third time she did not leave and wanted us to order immediately. I told her she was putting us under pressure this way and we needed more time. It made us feel guilty that we went to eat at 22 o'clock, given that they close at 24. After we ordered, the waitress brought me a dirty plate, which she later changed, because she saw me refusing to eat in it. We waited half an hour for them to bring the two plates of food. We were sitting by the front door and I had to stay with my jacket because they didn't close it. Finally, at 23:20 o'clock , 40 minutes before the end of working hours, while I was still eating and drinking, they started turning off the lights and wanted to close. Mehana Mamin Kolyo is a restaurant that truly exudes Bulgarian tradition through its atmosphere. The interior space was beautiful and adorned with traditional decorations. Our only criticism was that the terrace was covered in plastic while it was 34 degrees Celsius outside. It is difficult to eat when you are sweating a lot.

When it comes to the food, the mixed grill platter (2 kg of meat) and the salad platter (1.5 kg of salad) were absolutely delicious, and they provided more than enough for six very hungry people. If you have ever had grilled food anywhere on the Balkans, this one will be a completely different experience because they use unique traditional spices that set it apart from other Balkan countries.

We booked a table and understandably, because it's a house, we got a table in one of the bedrooms. It was small, cramped up, we couldn't sit well on the table, because another table was blocking it with a guy sitting on his chair. 4 out of 5 of the glasses for the water on the table were lipstick stained on the rims and when we told the the waitress she had an awful attitude. We decided to pay and just leave and the moment when she heard we want the bill, for the two waters they put on the table in advance, her attitude magically changed from being almost rude to sweetly asking "what didn't we like about the experience". Overall the atmosphere is good, probably just not in our room. There was to a singer performing live, but that was barely hearable from our upper floor table.
