HunMinJeongEum Korean BBQ Buffet-韩国正音烤肉店-훈민정음 — Restaurant in Khan Boeng Keng Kang

Went to the Hun Min Jeoungeum resturant for lunch today. It is located 7, Street398, Sangkat Boeng Keng Kang I, Khan Boeng Keng Kang, Phnom Penh., Phnom Penh.

I usually try to be positive about restaurants but this time I will disappoint. Save your money.

The positive, staff are very friendly, the decor is good, and the rooms well appointed. The food was well presented, looked good and there were generous servings but that is where it ended.

The soy sauce was japanese not Korean, the wasbi sauce was watered down. The Kimchi was sugared and sweet not spicy. If you are going to be Korean restaurant then cook decent Korean food please. The food was bland and boring, no flavour at all. They tried to tell me the chef was from Korea, if thats the case they need a new one. The food was awful. I tried to tell the owner about my experience he could not even say sorry, he just ran away.

Come on guys I am married to a Korean, I have lived in Korea on and off for 14 years. I have eaten Korean food in 6 different countries and this is by far the worst garbage I ever tasted. You could not even aplogise, offer another meal in return. We came here to try the restaurant before we brought a big group of guests. Good thing we did.

To the owner, read the reviews and fix up your restaurant or you will be closed in 6 months. To potential customs save your time and money, this is not fit to be called a Korean Restaurant.

Like I said I don't do this often but...

I really enjoy the food ,it’s very delirious the recommended one is “Beef rib” or the “pork rib” and mango bingso as a dessert. The service during the dining is very fast and responsive even sometimes they forget but the only problem that effect my mood when i go in was I trying to get help with directions to my room and the service stayed sit without asking question and look at me like I’m a stranger for somehow if we compare to someone going to our house for visit. But I end up asked and called to the person which in my room and end up found. Also When I asked for chair they refuse to give me a chair and seem to look with the unhappy face again but it’s okay I end up called them to look at the room and they found missing a chair. The atmosphere is okay I guess since it’s a grilling place so the stain from the smoke are on the sealing is normal.

Conclusions, if we just enjoy the food. It’s going to be happy meal cause it’s not that bad.

It's my first time here visiting this Korean buffet restaurant style. With a warm welcoming from the owner and the staffs made me felt that they are really taking care of their own customers pretty well. Great services every time when we needed something they just come in as soon as we press the button Bell. Eat as much as you want for 2 hours. I was like filled to the brim halfway. There was two main manual types of meat here beef and pork. There are a lot more side dishes meat that you can eat. So if you are a meat lover you'll love this restaurant.
