WOW! For one who really goes by reviews, I am SO glad that I gave Chaiiwala a chance. After hearing mixed reviews, I wasn’t sure if it’d be worth the drive and time, but I must say, from the ambiance to the customer service and then to the food, I will definitely be spreading the word and be visiting soon again. For a cafe, everything was nailed and on point! The food portions and pricing of each item was reasonable! It was exactly as advertised - a nice cozy cafe where one can come in, chill and enjoy some nice street food and beverages. For the food, I must say the Karachi Bun Kebab, fully loaded and Chicken Tikka in Naan was nice and warm when served, tasted fresh and had the perfect amount of sauce/chutney included where the cooks also did not cheap out with the ingredients that were added. From the various desserts tried, everything was on point and had its unique taste! All cheesecakes had either the perfect amount of sweetness, bitterness and/or tanginess. The middle portion of the cheesecakes were nice and light, not overpowering! Despite the scrumptious taste, I would like to say a huge thank you to the owner and his employees - everyone was so respectful, knowledgeable and polite! When ordering, I was blown away by the cashiers respect and acknowledgement to food restrictions! She asked whether or nut allergies were an issue and wanted us to be aware of the nut inclusion in the dessert - I’d say this is very considerate of her even though she was extremely busy and there were customers behind me waiting to order. The food was also delivered in a timely manner. Also, during my visit today, I noticed and acknowledged a customer service act in regards to the buzzer ; I guess the employees had buzzed a buzzer for someone to pick up their food. Since the individual didn’t show up, a waitress was going around to each table to check whose buzzer went off to ensure they received their food on time and to prevent it from sitting at the front till/ getting cold. If I were this customer, I would for sure appreciate the waitress coming around to double check/provide a reminder. Oh and before I forget, during the visit today, when I initially ordered the chocolate cheesecake, I was given the incorrect cake. When I noticed that, I went back and brought it to the waitresses attention. Literally immediately, without hesitation the waitress apologized, acknowledged and stated it was her fault and said “do not worry about the cake, you can take the one I gave you plus the one you ordered” - I was taken aback - she could have easily apologized and replaced it, but instead, she stated it was her fault, provided the correct one and told me to take the incorrect one. I find that the customer service skills have really been driven into the employees here, which really made the experience worth it. Though some may think the drive to Abbotsford is far, I think its a reasonable drive and definitely worth the visit - just keep in mind it is a cafe, portions aren’t meant to be large, dinner sized portions. I look forward to visiting the Abbotsford location again, as well as, the grand openings in Surrey!

Chaiiwala of London…. Has amazing ambiance and very cute decor! Been meaning to check it out for a while now but since it’s a bit of a drive, better late than never! My first impression was that the place was well lit and clean. Once we got in, the lady at the front counter was super nice and explained the different chais to us. I absolutely love that they allow chai samples before you can order your tea of choice. The menu focuses on street food, so if you came hungry, you might want to order more than one roll and some appetizers which is what we did. From Bun kabab to chicken tikka rolls and an array of drinks and desserts, you won’t be disappointed. They were super accommodating if you wanted a paratha instead of naan or roti - or eliminate certain toppings. We ordered the Bun kabab (I only wish the beef ratio to daal was higher in the kabab, as I didn’t feel like I was eating a kabab), chicken tikka roll, Malai Boti roll and Kebab roll, samosa cone and chili and Lemon chips. Everything was nice and hot and their presentation on the newspaper is what completed the street food vibe!

Delicious food great atmosphere! Elaborate aromas and flavors of India in the heart of Abbotsford Chaiwala, a hidden gem, transported me to the bustling streets of Mumbai with its authentic and mouth-watering cuisine. The moment I stepped in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and inviting decor that set the tone for a delightful experience. The menu boasted an array of options, but I opted for the popular Chaiwala Special chai and bun kebab, chicken patties and samosa which did not disappoint. Each bite was a masterful blend of spices, with tender meats. The accompanying chutneys and raita added a delightful contrast of textures and flavors. The star of the show, however, was the chai – rich, creamy, and perfectly spiced. It complemented the meal beautifully and left me craving more. Overall, Chaiwala of London is a must-visit for anyone seeking a genuine Indian culinary experience. With its cozy atmosphere, attentive service, and delectable food, it's a true gem in the city's culinary scene. Be sure to visit and indulge in the flavors of India! Rating: 5/5 stars.

Chaiiwala is a must-visit for anyone looking for delicious street food and amazing chai drinks. As someone who has tried a lot of street food in Vancouver, I was blown away by the quality and taste of the food at Chaiiwala. The prices are so much better here in Abby, and the food is so delicious that it's definitely worth it. The menu at Chaiiwala is packed with flavorful options that are sure to satisfy any cravings you might have. From their signature chai drinks to their mouthwatering street food, every item is bursting with flavor and packed with a punch. I particularly loved their chai drinks, which were perfectly brewed and infused with just the right amount of spices. While some locals might find the prices to be a bit steep for street food, for me, the quality and taste more than make up for the cost. Chaiiwala has quickly become one of my favorite spots, and I can't wait to go back again. Overall, I highly recommend Chaiiwala to anyone looking for delicious and authentic street food and amazing chai drinks.

I had a very awful experience that could have easily been avoided if the menus were taken seriously by the cooks and staff. Do not order the samosa burger if you have a mango allergy because sometimes they add mango chutney to things randomly including the samosa burger AND poutine though it is not listed in the menu and I was assured it wasn’t added. All items state what sauces and chutney are in the meal, and per the menu and staff the samosa burger comes with tamarind sauce not mango chutney. Very scary allergic reaction immediately and they refused to refund the meal even though we needed to leave to take care of my reaction. I have never experienced this type of disregard in following up professionally with a customer who has been injured by their cooks and the staff’s lack of knowledge about the ingredients in the food they are serving.

We were driving through Abbotsford today and saw this cafe with beautiful lights hanging inside, so we decided to park the car and take a look. The place was spacious, with two large black and white photos on the wall giving it a very Indian feel. The large floor-to-ceiling windows made the whole place look bright and clean. This was our first time trying so-called Indian street food. We ordered Karak Chaii , Karak Coffee, Karachi bun Kebab, and chicken tikka in nana. I found both the tea and coffee to have a strong aroma, but they were too sweet for me. The bun with spicy egg were tasty and tender, but I couldn't taste any beef flavor in the patty .I thought the best tasting item was the chicken and nana. I’d like to come back and try their sugar free drinks and breakfast next time.
