I've visited Field House on at least two dozen occasions, from their opening day right up until last weekend - so I've had a lot of different experiences there, and I felt like I should finally leave a review.
It has been great to witness the evolution of Field House and the addition of food and more beers to their menu, as well as the building of the front lawn and now the heated patio. I very much appreciate the effort to create more seating areas, as one of my most common irritations while at Field House has been how busy it is - but the brewery can't be faulted for their popularity.
I've never really had a beer there that I didn't like. Even the more experimental flavours can still be appreciated, even if it's not to your individual taste. I love that there's always something new to try. You will never be bored by their selection.
The food has always been great, though limiting if you have any dietary restrictions. My only restriction is that I don't eat meat, but there are a few things on the menu I can still enjoy. My vegan and celiac friends are out of luck though. The pizzas are my absolute favourite!
The ambiance and the decor are beautiful, and Field House's branding is congruent with the feel they're going for in the brewery itself.
My only real complaint is about the staff. There are several team members there who are really friendly and great, and I feel relieved when I see them behind the counter. But there are also a number of team members who appear to us lowly patrons that they are too wrapped up in being part of the Field House club to provide the kind of customer service that a brewery of this quality really deserves to be demonstrating. I don't want to feel like I'm intruding when I enter a business, but some of the staff make you feel like you're interrupting their social hour by trying to place your order. Some of the food service is extremely slow as well - I can understand the food taking a while to be made by the kitchen when things are really busy, but there should be no reason why my food consistently arrives cold. I even had one occasion when our food didn't arrive for a good 25 minutes, so we waved down the staff member who took our order and asked if he knew how much longer our food would take. He shrugged and said "no idea, I'll have to check" but came back within two minutes with both of our (stone cold) dishes. I guess they'd been forgotten somewhere - but we receive no apology for the wait or the cold food.
I hate to end the review on a negative note, but I wanted to make sure I pointed out all of the great things I love about Field House before I got into what seems to be the one issue holding them back from being a stellar place to go eat...
Read moreWas very disappointed in this place. Iâve heard nothing but good things but unfortunately it did not live up to the hype. After we sat and ordered our drinks it took almost a half hour to get 1 beer and 1 glass of water. We flipped the sign to show we were ready to order and we ordered a Margarita pizza, beef sandwich, and their trio dip. 45 minutes later the food came out. We had already finished our drinks and asked for another round when our food was delivered. Food was meh. Trio dip was $12 for 3 sauce sized dips. Pizza was decent and the beef sandwich was pretty good. 20 minutes pass our server never came around to ask how our food was or to bring us our drinks. We asked the server who was working the table next to us (who was being well taken care of and had their food and drinks come before us even tho we were sat and ordered 20 minutes before they arrived) to order our drinks again cause our server was no where to be found. She said of course and told us she would grab it right away. Another 20 minutes later still nothing. We went inside to ask if we could get our drinks. Bartender said sure, will be right out. 15 minutes goes by, (keep in mind our sign was âflippedâ as per their service style) We had to call over one of the male servers to ask AGAIN for our drinks. We told him weâve asked 3 times and have waited over an hour for a refill when the people beside us have had their beers refilled 3 times since we asked THE FIRST time. He apologized and told us our drinks werenât even ordered and he would put that through. Told us he would comp the beers and the pizza for the wait and would grab our drinks right away. It still took about 10 minutes to get them but he came back and apologized politely. We didnât even bother to order another drink just pay and go. When we went to go pay The beer and Pizza was still there, so we paid and left. Overall in the 2.5 hours we were there we got our food and 1 refill. I hate to be a Karen as I have worked in the service industry and understand it can get busy but this was ridiculous. Not to mention when we got home we both felt so sick from the food. Definitely wonât be coming back. Which is unfortunate cause the overall vibes...

Nestled in the heart of Abbotsford, Field House Brewery is a hidden gem that offers a unique combination of exceptional craft beer and mouthwatering gourmet pizza. During our groups recent visit to this cosy establishment, I was thoroughly impressed by the quality of both their brews and their pizzas.
Let's start with the beer. Field House Brewery boasts a diverse selection of craft beers, each brewed with precision and care. From crisp lagers to hoppy IPAs and rich stouts, there is something to satisfy every palate. We particularly enjoyed the citrusy notes of their flagship IPA and the smooth, malty finish of their amber ale. The knowledgeable staff members were happy to provide recommendations and were clearly passionate about their craft.
Now, on to the pizza. The pizzas at Field House are nothing short of extraordinary. Baked to perfection in a wood-fired oven, each pie is topped with the freshest ingredients and bursting with flavour. The crust is thin and crispy, providing the perfect base for an array of creative toppings. Every bite was a delightful explosion of flavours that left all of our group craving more.
The ambience at Field House Brewery is warm and inviting, with rustic decor and a laid-back vibe that makes it the perfect spot to unwind after a long day. Whether you're catching up with friends or enjoying a solo meal, the friendly atmosphere and attentive service make you feel right at home.
