Today I thought I'd try this place. I ordered online through there website. It was soup and fish pakora which is my absolute favorite.
The website said ready by 11:30 I arrived right at 11:30 with a smile excited to try a new small restaurant. Once the woman came to the front, happily I said I ordered online soup and fish pakora. She didn't seem to amused happy and said it only take 5 minutes. Not a problem (it was dead) but I appreciate freshness so I was willing to wait. Approximately 10 minutes went by another customer Recieved the order. The she asked what I ordered. And I said it was an online order. I appreciate the honesty when I was told she forgot, but it still sucks.
The time went by and my lunch break was nearly over, and it finally arrived. I paid, and made sure the tip was on the bill. Didn't offer anything to say sorry for the wait. But Atleast thanked me for my patience.
Excited to dig in I opened up the the containers, and believe me the I was excited. The smell of the pakora was amazing and the first few were. But then I ate one and it tasted a little off. I ate a couple more and then again I another that was off. I still pushed through and had another one. Then I realized the fish was fine but the breading must have been either sitting and reused, or somthing fell into in and was definitely mould.
I'm sorry to say this because it took to hours to finally write this review. And no amount of calling to get reimbursed, remade or even a simple apology would have made this...
Read moreSadly, our experience wasn’t the best, though I do want to say that the people we interacted with seemed kind and this seems like a place that could be great. We called to order, but the person on the phone seemed rushed, and when we went to pick up the food the order was incomplete. We had to go back to clarify, and while we were told we would only be charged half price for the missing item, we ended up paying full price. I also wouldn’t recommend the Caesar salad—it was mostly onion and cucumber. When we questioned if that was correct, the staff member at the counter actually touched the salad with her hands to show the contents. If a new salad had been prepared that would have been fine, but instead the same one was returned with the rest of our food. At that point, we had to explain that unfortunately we wouldn’t be eating it, so there was no point in taking it. There were also some misunderstandings with the menu. For example, when we asked for butter chicken with rice, we were told they didn’t do that. We clarified and asked for butter chicken and a side of rice, but what we received was rice instead of butter chicken. I think the food itself might actually be good, but the overall experience was frustrating. A little more time spent listening, clarifying, and confirming orders would have made a huge difference. In customer service, especially with food, it’s always better to confirm what the customer means rather than assume. Our experience could have been much better with just that extra...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining Sky Space Indian Cuisine in Abbotsford, and it was an incredible experience! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and the inviting aroma of authentic Punjabi dishes.
The menu is packed with traditional Punjabi flavors, and everything I tried was exceptional. The butter chicken was rich and creamy, with the perfect blend of spices, while the tandoori chicken was grilled to perfection—juicy, tender, and bursting with flavor. The naan was fresh and soft, perfect for dipping in their delicious gravies.
What truly stood out was the authenticity of the food, reminding me of home-cooked meals from Punjab. You can tell the chefs here take pride in their cooking. The portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable, making it a great value for the quality and taste.
The ambiance was cozy and inviting that added to the dining experience. The staff were attentive, making sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive.
Overall, I highly recommend Sky Space Indian Cuisine if you're craving authentic Punjabi cuisine in Abbotsford. It's a hidden gem that will keep you coming...
