I wish that there is an option for 0 star but i have to give them one star to post the review
On 20 December 2018 we went to White spot restaurant on Fraser Highway at around 8:30 pm, we were so hungry and we drove all the way to Abbotsford after seeing the glow in Langley, because being local I want to keep business local.
When we entered in, the host didn’t make any eye contact or wish us. There were already people waiting ahead of us. I had to approach them and tell them that we need a table for 7 people. She said there is waiting then I said okay we are willing to wait. Then in 10-15 minutes, all the people got tables who were waiting ahead of us. After 10 minutes another server/host came to us and said 15 minutes wait then we said okay. Meanwhile, we asked for a menu so we can place an order but she said you cannot do that. After few minutes another server/ host approach us and said that our credit card machines not working so can’t give you table then I said we have cash then she said okay wait. After all, this server came to us around 9 pm and said we are closing at 9 pm so and can’t give you a table even people who just got their tables didn’t even place their order yet. I asked them to call the manager, Lady came and said I spoke to one my manager and he/she said to close the restaurant. I explained we are waiting from last 30 minutes and someone already asked that if we can pay cash. After talking to her about their customer service and rude behavior of their staff she said okay I will give you table but my family was so upset after all this they don’t want to eat there. It was so depressing the way they handle the situation. We felt like we are different than other people who were already eating in the restaurant and waited with us for their tables. We don’t want to go there again and will not...

My 3 year old came here with my parents while I was giving birth to my second. She and my dad ate the spaghetti. Both of them became violently ill with food poisoning. My 3 year old was up all night throwing up with no liquids staying down for 5.5 hours (6 hours is the bench mark for hospitalization in her age group).
When they contacted the restaurant their reaction was unsympathetic, uncaring and to be frank alarming. They took no accountability, offered no apology, they didn’t even ask if anyone was ok. They accused us of giving them something to that made them sick. Little did they know I have 16 years of food safety training and my dad 40 years of food safety training. We both are capable of teaching food safety and versed in the required record keeping. We can absolutely without a doubt say it was not something we made in either their home or my home. Also considering the time frame of the symptoms and the fact no one but the two of them became sick it is very apparent this came from the restaurant.
I have learned from friends and neighbours that this is not the first time someone has been sick at this location from the spaghetti. I have spoken to 5 other people who experienced the same symptoms, within the...
Read moreHad a meal there about a month ago, and it was fantastic! Steak frites and crispy Brussel sprouts. The sprouts were small, cut in halves and extremely tender and delicious. It was so good that I made a point of going back today and having the same meal. This time the steak frites was good, but the sprouts were huge, whole and rock hard raw. (Could have gotten the same thing by grabbing some sprouts at the grocery store and burning the outer layer with a cigarette lighter.) I told the waitress, and she asked if I wanted another one, and I said no just take them off of my bill. (I know from experience that if a restaurant serves you something like this it's unlikely the second one will be better -just asking to be disappointed again.) Now, this could have turned out less disappointing if the waitress had shown at least a modicum of remorse - I know the servers don't cook the food, but they are the contact between the kitchen and the customer, and even a very basic "sorry about that" goes a long way to smoothing things over (at least for me). No apology was given at any point. Next time I'll go to MacDonalds. Much cheaper and you always know...
