Ordered a chicken platter for 16.49 before tax instead of rice or fries i asked them to fill it with chicken and salad. So the filling is as follows; 90% Salad, 5% hummus+mayo and 5% chicken!!!! Just ripping off. The chicken were dry and not hot. Every other place will be having fresh cooked chicken to go which is hot. Not this place. And highly priced poor quality item. Went through the reviews and realized they charge extra for dine in??? Also they keep mentioning about quality?! What quality? These are not brought from some organice farms! If u need authentic middle eastern chicken platter or shawarma go to Surrey. May be the owner should visit this place and learn what the food looks and taste and how much quantity should be there!!! Just a joke.
Edit: Answer for your repy: yeah your staff asked is this ok for which i replied yeah. You never mentioed what!!! Lol she asked if i need extra sauces and i said no. When she was done filling it with salad and mayo+ hummus combo she asked is this ok to which i replied yeah. Also i was complaining about the quantity of chicken in chicken platter, but i understand ur language barrier to not understand my review! A chicken platter with less than 10 g of chicken. Also every other authentic middle eastern food places will take chicken from the shawarma grill, unlike urs where chicken is not on shawarma grill and placed in a container.
And yeah me and people who once been to ur dead beat shop will completely agree that it attracts people from states and surrey. Lol Yes those loyal customers cant get enough of you dry, cold chicken with sky high price tag and wants to pay badly for 20% gratuvity on dine in. So they come to Abby. What a disgrace to Middle eastern food.
For those who need to taste authentic middle eastern food with good quality please try surrey. This whole place is just rip off
And also here is the funny part. 16.49$ for meat platter. I would say 12% is tax, that is 1.97$ so total should be 18.46$. They charged me 18.62$ so why there is $0.16 cents more??? I checked the receipt and cant find the tax breakdown. So where did the money go?
Edit 2: I didn't get plenty of chicken. If I did like every other place provides, then I wouldn't be complaining. Lol 170 to 180 gm of chicken you serve right? How does the lady who add chicken with thongs know its 170 to 180? I havent seen she putting it on a weighing scale. I stand firm on my experience, yes it was little less than 100 g. I didnt made any comments yes, because I have seen only putting salad and hummus+ yes Mayo too. When she added the chicken she took the platter with her and added it while i was standing on till. I didnt see how much the quantity was until I opened it back home. And yeah compared to other places who actually has business because of the taste and authenticity you guys dont have any which is why u dont have chicken on grill. Lol thanks for admitting that.
Yeah its true Math isnt everyone's subject. Which is why you scam people. No one told me about $1 additional fees. I have been eating platter all this time and nobody had any issue to change rice/fries with salad. And for your information all the other place sells Rice, fries, salad, chicken and hummus. If u dont want something from that they will be happy to accomodate that. Again not everyone is good at math nor reading. I got charged 18.62 and not 18.58 so there is again discrepancy of .04 cents. Thank you for proving that Maths isnt for everyone:)
Also single use plastic bags are banned in BC from July 24. $0.25 cents is for paper bags. Not for the cheap plastic bags which is under 40 microns which is illegal and harmful for enviornment. And I never asked for bag, you blatantly put it in a bag and handed to me without informing that there is a bag fee. Also nobody told $1 fee for modification. What modification you have performed here? I opted not to take rice or fries and wanted to stick with salad so you charge me $1 for that??? This is what referred to greed and rip off. Which explains the dead business...

I recently visited Yaffa Cafe in Abbotsford to pick up some food to take home, and I can't say enough good things about this place! Even though I was just there to order, Sam, the owner, along with his wonderful wife and daughter, treated me like royalty. Their warm hospitality and genuine kindness made the experience unforgettable.
Since it was my first visit, they were incredibly generous, offering me bites of various dishes to help me decide what to order. I ended up ordering the beef and chicken shawarma, hummus, and a few other items, and every bite was a delightful taste of home. The food is authentic, homemade, and bursting with the rich flavors of true Mediterranean cuisine.

Read moreAbbotsford has a number of Middle Eastern take away restaurants that provide good Donair, this is not what this is! Do not be fooled by the super reasonable prices, the food here is a cut above the rest! My wife and I had chicken platters and a Lahmacun. The Lahmacun was delicious and unique, rarely found on a takeaway menu here in BC. The Salad was fresh and tasty with a balsamic based dressing (with something else that I am not sure of). It came with a delicious helping of humus and unique tzatziki. The chicken and rice had enough flavour to knock you back, different from what is expected from a Donair shop but delicious and moreish! The owner was super friendly, incredibly passionate about his Lebanese heritage and food, this is a family run business, super clean on the inside and very hospitable and welcoming.
Excellent prices when compared to food from other Middle Eastern style restaurants, this is better! Call...
