Very genuinely disappointed. Server barely said a word while seating us. Immediately after we sat down he asked if we were ready to order without even looking at the menus first, made me feel very rushed and uncomfortable. Argued with me about the menu and was extremely degrading and rude. After our food and drinks were ordered, he did not come check in once. By the point of getting our food, we were out of water. It did not get refilled the whole time. The bacon was way over cooked and cold, as were the eggs. When we were finished he immediately brought the bills without even asking if we wanted anything else. We look over and he’s sitting down with a pair of gentlemen completely ignoring us and the other table here. The server overall made us feel very unwanted and rushed to leave. Normally I do love this restaurant, but this was one of the worst restaurant experiences I have had in a long time. To make it worse, the gentleman who served us is the manager.
EDIT Today I decided to give this restaurant a second try and of course, it was the exact same service. The manager, again, sat us and immediately walked away. Did not take our orders for quite some time. We watched a customer have to actually go up and ASK for his order to be taken because he was waiting so long!! We watched again and he sat a woman and took the remaining three chairs away from her and when he noticed she has accidentally dropped her utensils on the ground, he did not even offer her news ones to be nice, he just walked away! Our toast was burnt, jam was soupy, our food was cold. I am so disgusted with this service. I have been in management and this is totally unacceptable behaviour for any employee, let alone the "Boss Man!" Will NOT be coming here again, I should have known better to stay away after the first time, I wish I could leave zero...
Read moreTitle: A Flipping Good Time at Cora's Pancakes in Airdrie, Alberta! Rating: 5/5 Stars I recently had the pleasure of visiting Cora's Pancakes in Airdrie, Alberta, and I must say, it was an absolute delight! From the moment we walked in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere set the tone for a fantastic dining experience. The decor was bright and cheerful, with a fun and lively vibe that had us excited to dig in. But the real star of the show was, of course, the food. Oh, the pancakes! They were fluffy, light, and utterly divine. I opted for the strawberry and cream pancakes, and they did not disappoint. The fresh strawberries and whipped cream added a sweet and tangy touch that complemented the pancakes perfectly. My companion's chocolate chip pancakes were equally impressive, with a generous helping of rich, dark chocolate chips. The service was top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who ensured our cups were always full and our plates were never empty. The prices were very reasonable, especially considering the generous portion sizes and high-quality ingredients. What truly sets Cora's apart, however, is the attention to detail and commitment to using only the freshest ingredients. You can taste the difference in every bite, and it's clear that the team at Cora's is passionate about serving up delicious, made-from-scratch pancakes that will leave you feeling satisfied and eager to return. In short, Cora's Pancakes in Airdrie is a must-visit destination for anyone with a sweet tooth and a love for breakfast fare. Whether you're a local or just passing through, do yourself a favor and stop by for a flipping good time. You won't be disappointed! Will I be back? Absolutely, and with a...
Read moreBeen a few years since my last Cora's visit and unfortunately I don't have anything better to report about it. I just don't understand why there are so many places with such poor customer service. It seems like the priority goes to food delivery services orders over the customers that are sitting in the restaurant.
As for this visit we waited a while to get in which is understandable on a Sunday morning. Once seated though it seemed like what was a good 15 minutes before the waitress came over with some water and asked if we would like anything else to drink. Eventually after quite some time our food order was taken and then another long wait to get the food. It actually wasn't overly busy it seemed and the part that really annoyed us was that a gentleman that had been seated a few people after us had eaten and was getting up to pay his bill just as we were getting our food. We were only a party of 2 so didn't make much sense.
My suggestion to Cora's is to try and focus on the customers that take time from their day to come into your restaurant to enjoy a meal. I probably will not be back again and certainly won't recommend...
