Just visited your Airdrie store and I wanted to pass on my feelings about the change. Have to say I hate it. The new atmosphere is cold and terrible. No place to sit while waiting for pick up order. If your designer was shooting for cold high school cafeteria look they nailed it. To the selling of accessories like Pocky displayed on an IKEA look shelving and right where people will be line waiting to order. The reason I came in was to order your long time and I would say famous stir fry not some cheesy snack that is in my face before I even get to the till to place an order. Is it a restaurant or a convenience store? Now about the wood benches to the plastic seated chairs. You changed from a warm comfy friendly feel, to hurry up and eat or you will be late for class . The impression it leaves me with is some cheap food that feels over priced rather then the prior quality meal. It's so bad it's enough for me to rethink continuing to give you my business because it just feels so wrong. I feel for the poor franchisee that you most likely forced this terrible design on to. I pray you don't force this horrible look onto other locations. On the positive side the food hasn't changed yet(cross fingers it doesn't) and it was still tasty. However it's kinda hard to remember the food because the experience just felt cold. The staff was very good and the order was completed quickly. My rating is based on food not the noted...
Read moreAverage Edo experience. The staff are a bit difficult to communicate with here. It seems that they don't listen too intently or try to anticipate what you want like they do at other Edo locations.
The food tasted good and the portions were correct but it really bothers me that when I want hot sauce that I have to ask for it and when I do, it comes in tge tiniest amounts in the tiniest ramekins. It comes off as cheap. Leave the bottle on the counter and let me decide how much hot sauce I want to put on like many other good locations do! Anything else comes off as cheap and unfriendly.
The sushi rolls were not as fresh here as other locations. I could tell they were made earlier in the day and had been sitting because the rice was not as fresh. I came in the early afternoon after the peak lunch hour so maybe I was given what was leftover.
Edo can and usually does better at other locations. Not a horrible experience, but certainly not a...
Read moreLike pretty much all the other reviews say, the portions are small and it takes a long time to get your food.
I ordered the chicken yakisoba bowl and it was less than half full. I could see the bottom of the container in multiple places. It costs $13. If they had put $0.25 more worth of noodles I'd have been full probably.
I also ordered 4 orders of 8 California rolls. For this they gave me 3 whole packets of soy sauce in the bag. Not even close to enough and I was home by the time I checked.
Not to mention it took 25 minutes for my order to come out. I'm not wasting my time or money here again. I spent $40 on food and only one of us got full whilst neither of us...
