My first visit to a restaurant after being diagnosed with Celiac. I was afraid to eat anywhere. The waitress was amazing and made sure I was taken care of in a way that didn't make me feel embarrassed for having to ask questions. However, my 2nd experience ruined me ever wanting to eat there again. I ordered the exact same thing I did last time, expecting it to be gluten-free.
I did a pick-up order instead of eating in. I got home to find a dough perogie mixed in with my stirfry, mushrooms (which I asked for, none to be added), topped with a billion onions. It was covered in green onion, and then the stir fry had a few veggies and LOTS of red onion. Basically, a mushroom and onion stir fry with a random perogie mixed in. They also gave me the tiniest starter size salad and no garlic toast like last time. No kids dessert like their other locations offer.
They offered to remake my meal after asking for my money back. They assured me I will be ok to eat it. The first thing I was excited to eat was the gluten free garlic toast bun. I bit into it only to find it was a plain dry bun. Not toasted with nothing on it. I still also had a reaction to something from there. Oh, and after having to turn around and spend another 30+ min driving to pick up my proper order, I still had to ask for a reimbursement on my stir-fry after I was told not to worry that it would be taken care of. That made me realize they didn't care. They knew what a pain it was for me to drive all the way across town and back again for THEIR mistake. I specifically went to this location because of my wonderful first experience. Now, I'd never go back to any of them. How hard is it to give the garlic bread when it is supposed to be included? The one thing that anyone celiac misses is bread. I came back for that delicious bun and to not get it even after they promised it, I am done. I have no faith in their competence or that they care about food allergies. I get respitory problems as soon as I eat anything with wheat. Cross contamination is absurd for us. A tiny crumb can make me throw up for days and, my hands to crack and bleed. No food is worth that. I'm so disappointed. I wish they made things right without me having to ask for a partial refund TWICE. Even after I was told I was getting one.
The location in Lloydminster gives out cotton candy with kids meals. That was a hit for my kids and another reason they agrees to eat there. Don't expect any type of treat with it at the airdrie location....
Read moreIf you ever find yourself at Brewhouse Airdrie, you MUST ask for Amanda. Legend has it, she was born with a cocktail shaker in one hand and a pint of craft beer in the other. I arrived a mere mortal, but after 30 minutes in Amanda’s presence, I left feeling like I had touched the divine.
Upon entering, I was greeted by Amanda's radiant smile, which I suspect is the exact shade of a golden sunset over a field of wheat. The moment she looked my way, the jukebox automatically switched to a playlist of my favorite songs, and the lights dimmed ever so gently, as if the universe itself conspired to set the perfect mood.
I asked her for a "simple" gin and tonic, but what arrived was an ethereal concoction. It wasn’t just gin and tonic; it was a mystical potion that made my taste buds do the Macarena. The gin had been distilled by ancient monks on the peaks of a mountain only accessible by dragon, and the tonic? Oh, that tonic... it was carbonated with the tears of unicorns. I don’t even know where she found such ingredients.
Amanda didn’t just mix drinks. She transformed lives. I watched as she single-handedly calmed a rowdy table of people, turning their raucous energy into harmonious laughter, all while simultaneously crafting a perfect mojito and balancing a tray of nachos. I’m still not sure how she did it, but I believe it involved some kind of witchcraft.
At one point, I mentioned I was feeling a bit down. Amanda, with her endless wisdom, didn’t just offer me a drink. She offered me a life lesson wrapped in a garnish of lemon zest. By the time I took a sip, I felt like I had just solved the mysteries of the universe.
Amanda is a true sorceress of spirits, a virtuoso of beer, and a master of human emotions. I don’t know how much Brewhouse Airdrie pays her, but frankly, they should double it. She is a national treasure, a gift to bartending, and possibly the most overqualified person I’ve ever met.
In short: If you ever find yourself at Brewhouse Airdrie, don't just go for the drinks. Go for the Amanda experience. You'll leave...
Read moreHorrible service today. Went in with my toddler and husband. Sat ourselves upstairs, got our menus but they didn’t bring a kids menu she said she’d be right back came back to the table beside us talked talked left came back talked to the table again then before she walked away I’m like hey can we get the children’s menu please she’s like uh ya. Ok also can we order drinks please she took our order, took awhile for a place that’s wasn’t busy at 530p another waitress came with one of the right drink orders and had to leave to go get us the right order then we ordered our food with her as our waitress hadn’t come back. She was nice and said of course order pepperoni pizza and side of fries for my daughter husband a wrap and me a power bowl. Food finally csme out and no pizza I’m like hey what about the pizza she’s like oh Yaa Yaa it’s coming 10 min later finally got it ugh. My power bowl was wayyyy to salty I don’t know if it was the salt or the dressing so I ate at it slowly till maybe she would come by and ask but nothing! I couldn’t imagine how much more salty it would have been if they did have feta to put on it. Pizza had no pepperoni and felt under cooked too. When the waitress finally came back at the end we just asked for the bill my husband asked busy day she’s like no not at all really slow and my head doesn’t work when it’s slow and laughed off her horrible customer service. SMH with the options of eating out aren’t as often it’s sad to see that you can’t get good customer service definitely not worth the price in food and or customer service . Highly disappointed and I’ve gone to many other brew houses and this is the first one i ever felt obliged to leave a...
