Beryl's Pepper Pot — Restaurant in Ajax

Horrible customer service. I was on my way to the store decided to wait and order food on the phone while I was outside in my car. The lady who picked up the phone told me they are not accepting orders over the phone only online and in store. I told her I’m literally outside in my car but would rather wait till my food is ready to come inside the store. She then says to me hold on....she clicks over to the next line and doesn’t click back. I went inside the store and asked the lady at the back packing food if she was the one that put me on hold (meanwhile the store phone is on the hook) she said no and I told her I was just trying to order some food while I’m waiting in my car....no one came to take my order so I decided to leave. I would not recommend going there, yes their food is good but I would rather give my money to a place that has better customer service. In my field of work Customer Service is very important and I would not of handled a caller or even someone coming in to place an order with poor customer...

I LOVE Beryl's! Personally I prefer the Ajax location than the Pickering but that's just me, they're both great!

Their Red pea soup is top tier and a must when available!

My go to dish is the curry goat and the taste never disappoints! All the other dishes are on the same level and Beryl's is my family go-to when we don't want to cook.

I do feel the portion sizes could be a tab bit larger and are not consistent so this might be a turn off for repeat visits but I highly recommend at least giving this place a try!

My last two orders from Beryls in Ajax had things in them. I first ordered a soup that had plastic in it. Then I ordered a fried chicken that had hair in it! Be aware when ordering from the Ajax location and always check your food before you leave! I am very disappointed because Beryls is my favourite Caribbean restaurant...

this comment goes out to both locations, poor lack CS over the phone. I've been going too both these locations whenever I touch down in this area. As usually my time is sensitive and pre ordering my meal is regular normal practice except for today. So let start the Kingston Rd location was so polite enough to hear out my order and in return suggested I could just place the order at the counter? Why even bother hearing me out, none the less I was round the corner and went to check on my order.
