Read moreCustomer Service was horrible.
I was seated at the table, waiting for my friend to arrive cause she was running late. During that time everything was fine but then after 10-15mins I had to ask for water. Water should already be on the table. My friend and her daughter (3yrs) finally arrived and then i had to ask for water again for them. My friend and I placed our order for crab and shrimp boils and drinks, her daughter wanted pasta. My friend asked the waitress if she can get a half portion/kids size which wasn't on the kids menu. The only thing the manager offered was the full size (half on the plate and the other half in a to-go container). During this many people were coming in or waiting for their take-out. My friend tried to reach out to the waitress or manager to negotiate when the cleared up, but it was hard to call them. After 5 more mins she had to get up and ask them at the counter to negotiate the portion size and price saying that the 3yrs won't eat the full pasta. The manager didnt bother meeting half way, nor did she ask the kitchen if it were possible. After 40 mins of waiting, the waitress finally placed our order.
Our order of the two boils came out but our drinks didnt come. Our water was never refilled. We were constantly ignored so we didnt bother asking. The food was delicious. The service was terrible, basically had to beg for service. When we finally finished, it took them 20 mins to clear our table. When it was finally cleared, it took another 15 for them to come around and the waitress said "how is everything?" Theres literally nothing at our table lol. I asked for the bill and said "what happened to our drinks?" The lady said "oh, I forgot, do you still want your drinks or dessert?" The manager finally came around and gave us 15% off. But the service was so bad. The manager could've even negotiated with 15% for the kids meal or take a minor loss cutting the pasta in half for a child. They should hire more staff,...
Read moreThis review is feedback for the owners as this used to be one of my favorite spots for a long time. Not sure what has happened but had a very subpar experience on a recent visit.
We entered at 9 pm and were told last call is around 9:40, which was fine. However, when we were ordering around 9:17 pm our drinks, we were told that the drinks machines were being shut down so they could not make any coffee based drinks. Ok - but then the mango chunks for the mango coconut drinks were also not available. Seeing our disconcert, the server kind of backtracked and said one machine may still be open and served one of us a coffee based drink. I don't know why this option wasn't presented from the beginning.
Anyway, I and another person ordered the chai latte (iced). To both of our very negative surprise, it tasted like it was made of milk and cinnamon only. There was no tea flavor at all. I asked the server if that's usually how the drink is and she confirmed - so perhaps it's a taste thing (?) but I would not order that again if you are looking for any hint of tea flavor from your drink. There was also no foam on it as shown in the menu photo. I could not get through half the drink because it just felt like drinking milk with cinnamon flavoring. To the server's credit, she did ask if I wanted a different drink if I did not like this but at this point I was just too put off to ask for anything else and that also turn out to be disappointing.
Lastly, I ordered a butter tart. Hard to go wrong with something sweet, buttery and flakey but this also had some problems - felt a little stale and was overly sticky.
I usually order the shrimp / lobster roll so maybe that's why I did not notice these earlier, but was left pretty disappointed based on this experience of ordering a drink and dessert. I would only consider going there for a meal unless things change - not conducive to just hanging out with a nice...
