Burger Baron & Twin's Pizza — Restaurant in Alberta

I hate hosting parties for little kids (something gets smashed or someone gets sick, and there's always 4 hours of cleaning up the chaos afterwards) so we thought how about the Burger Baron? Its my now 5 year olds top pick for pizza, and they've got a rock solid set of party packages... plus the climbing structure, what's not to love? We only got the 10 kid package but that's 20 slices of pizza, 10 juice boxes or cans of pop(or mix em if you want), big basket of super crispy fries(arguably the crispiest in town) and a tray of nachos and a 2 hour time slot so the kids can burn off a ton of energy. Staff were friendly, asked when we wanted the food, brought everything to the tables, checked on us, they were outstanding.

Now below I said we spent $100+ per person but that's because it's a party package for one kid(guests don't count in that...

Rave! ... to Burger Baron and Suzie for an amazing Triple Mushroom Burger.

I thought I would skip breakfast today and build up an appetite for my burger craving. I have never been to Burger Baron since being in Wainwright for 13 months. I held off on the fries so I could have room for the burger :) I upgraded to cheese, bacon and fried onions.

The result? The burger bun was nicely toasted, not burnt nor dry. The cheese was fresh. The mushroom sauce was unbelievable and it perfectly complimented the fried onions and generous portions of mushrooms. The beef and bacon was tasty and juicy.

The restrooms were extremely clean. If you are able to get past the outdated decor and signage on the outside and the small plate the burger is served on; Inside, you will encounter a friendly and cheerful lady named Suzie and she will make you an...

What a place to take the kids for lunch (and go back as parents for dinner!). Huge play area, and so many choices for picky eaters and large appetites alike! Generous portions, fantastic shakes, amazing fries, and an owner that you can tell is passionate about his restaurant.

We were there in the middle of the day and despite a steady stream of people, food was out hot and fast, gravy was a must-have, and the shawarma? Get out of here, tastes better than you can get anywhere else (pro-tip: add feta to make it even more special). Atmosphere gets a 5 not because it's overly-fancy (it's a burger joint after all, not a Four Seasons), but because it's exactly what you want in a kid-friendly place, take that how you will ;)
