Dairy Queen — Restaurant in Alberta

My two teenage son's went to Dairy Queen tonight to have some supper. The Lady at the till was experienced, but had a trainee with her. I felt that giving the trainee direction was distracting her from us ordering. I ordered Onion rings with my combo, but got fries. Food was hot other than that and tasty.

Later, after we were done we decided order dessert. Dairy Queen had a promotion for buy one Blizzard get one for a dollar. We ordered a mint oreo medium and a turtles blizzard. The experienced worker just handed one of the cups to the inexperienced worker to make the mint blizzard. Just by looking at the body language of the young inexperienced worker you could tell she was not sure what to do. When we got them there was lots of oreo, but the just about no mint in the cup. The blizzard should be bright green. The Turtles blizzard had hardly any carmel or nuts my son said. One Medium costs $5.99 and then a dollar for the second one. I don't think the young worker made it correctly. I also feel that because there is this promotion is on Dairy Queens workers have been told to cut back on the ingredients.

If I had a promotion on I would want to put my best foot forward to increase return business. I would imagine that business for icecream slups in September and October because its cold and people have extra expenses with kids returning to school. Its a shame that we left feeling cheated on a promotion. Perhaps McDonalds, Subway, A&W would rather have...

The best DQ by far. in all of alberta..this store understands me perfectly . They took my complicated cake design over the phone. They were polite and easy to talk to and they were very accommodating. I have nothing but bad to say about the okotoks location .. they are rude and careless and dirty in my opinion . And trust me when I say thats putting it nicely. I HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH THEM FOR YEARS AND THEY HAVE ALWAYS BEEN DIFFICULT but the last few times they were very rude . They dont do anything properly . Even if I ordereda ain't white cake im sure it would be tie die when I get home . At this point I have NO FAITH IN THEM ..at all.!!! I can't explain how discussed I am with them ..again and again and again they disappoint. I've had hair in my food and they called me a lier and I'm a completely bald man . Lol . I've never hated a restaurant so much in my life . But high river was such a breath of fresh air .. good job guys...

I’ll start by saying that this Dairy Queen is one the best I’ve ever visited! However, the app doesn’t have a drive thru option for pick-up. When I pulled up to the location there was no one in the drive thru so I figured it would be fine. The person working the drive thru told me that because there was no one in the drive thru that I could this once but not again. I find it silly that you can’t go through the drive thru to get two ice creams when there is no one else in the drive thru. I understand that it wouldn’t be logical to go through the drive thru when it’s super busy or if you ordered a meal for 5 and maybe that’s why it’s not an option but still, for 2 ice creams and no one in the driver thru. Maybe allow it just for ice cream pick-ups? It just saves me from bringing in two kids under two for a 10 second visit. I initially had this as a 3 star but I do really like this location so I’ll...
