Where do I even begin? Unfortunately, we were ALL very disappointed with the food and overall experience. We waited about 30–40 minutes for our food, even though there were no other dine-in customers. The one staff member working was busy handling takeout orders and seemed to be completely alone. Our appetizers arrived AFTER the main dishes. I’ll gladly wait that kind of time for great food—but in this case, the quality just didn’t deliver. The miso vegetable ramen was nothing like the photo and—shockingly—contained a piece of beef. For a vegetarian dish, that’s completely unacceptable. The chicken dish had an unidentified blue object in it (photo attached), which appeared to be plastic or rubber. When we showed the server, he laughed, said it "came with the chicken," and then apologized. This interaction made us question the freshness and safety of the food—and whether much of it was frozen or pre-packaged. The chicken and beef teriyaki were overly acidic instead of sweet, and the chicken itself tasted off. Most of the dishes were also heavily oversalted, which made them difficult to enjoy. The deep-fried items were poorly done—more like homemade attempts than restaurant quality. The gyoza and takoyaki were burnt, and the tempura lacked panko breading entirely. The onion cake was dense and flat, resembling the ones sold at T&T Supermarket rather than something freshly made. We also ordered a curry that never arrived—honestly, a blessing in disguise. Positives? We were refunded for two dishes, and the miso soup tasted decent (though it had no tofu cubes). The receipt math was accurate, but it was difficult to identify which charges were for which items, as nothing was labeled. Overall: I’m genuinely concerned about the food safety and freshness here. While the prices were low, it simply wasn’t worth it. I’d rather eat at home and spend my money on food that’s both safer and higher quality.

This is why I love discovering hidden gem in a small town. This is one of the best Japanese restaurant we've been. Nothing fancy but for the price, the food is amazing! The salmon for $14 is so generous at the same time absolutely fresh! This is coming from someone who loves salmon sushi so much and picky on the freshness of any sushi. Our party of 8 ordered different stuff from the menu and all are very satisfied as the food is great! Definitely will comeback when we drive again down Southern Alberta. Highly recommended!

Stop in for some sushi at this newer High River restaurant. I thought that the nigiri style sushi & the maki roll were decent. Felt like the value based on quality/quantity according to price was average. For a small town location I would say this is going to be fairly popular... Bottom line: 7.2 out of 10

I stopped going here about 8 years ago when I would watch the staff buy rotting discounted produce, and then got written up by AHS for storing open food in the staff washroom. I heard it was new management, so tried again today. The place was filthy and smelled awful - filth on all food prep surfaces, the floor, everywhere. I went to use the customer washroom, and it was also disgusting. Considering there were no other customers during lunch hour except a 2-top that came in as I was leaving, there is no excuse for this level of uncleanness and disrepair.

I absolutely would not eat anything coming out of this kitchen ever. High River has Ka-Sushi and Edo, and both are much better (and...

OMG it's the only sushi place in High River but please dont ever leave this place has you covered when that sushi craving hits. And the prices couldnt be any better.

Just be sure to order your sushi platters in advance I find they dont like to feel rushed. But really no one does. Especially when they give really great tasting dishes.

I usually take out, however I dined in here once and the dine in feels like a fast food restaurant.

I would eat in more often and invite more groups if the decor felt more inviting and relaxed. I think they had they right music playing already so no complaints...
