This is a typical McDonald's. It has a smallish eating area, kiosks, or counter service for ordering, in-lobby condiment and drink self-serve stations, and bathrooms on the opposite side of the lobby. The place is relatively clean, especially when you consider they no longer have dedicated lobby staff (or at least so they told another customer). The food was decent, the fries were hot and crispy, the burgers were fine, and we were served at our table within 7 minutes. That said, the time before this visit, we got cold food, and my burger was not cooked through, so their food quality is inconsistent. The staff are friendly, and eager to help fix issues, for the most part, (there were a few grumbles the day we had to take our cold, raw food back),but as a former McDonald's staff member (first job, years ago in a different province), the Q, (and sometimes S) in the QSC motto (Quality, Service, Cleanliness) is not always adhered to in today's restaurants. Read moreOrdered food with my husband. I got a vanilla cold brew coffee and a junior chicken. My "cold brew" was an ice coffee with an excessive amount of the liquid sugar/flavor. Immediately I asked for a new one with not as much (it was past the first bump at the bottom) and a staff came over to me and jokingly stated "must've gotten the vanilla cold brew". I responded that it's a ridiculous amount of sweetener added in. Upon receiving my "fix" drink there was ZERO flavor/liquid sugar in it. None at all. Driving an hour each direction and having to request a simple drink get fixed and it's not is Ludacris. I went over across the street and ordered a cold brew. This one was actually a cold brew- it wasn't stirred and it actually had the cold brew foam! Whereas this McDonald's was all stirred together, no foam and 4 ice cubes. When we arrived we were told we had to go back to speaker, so my husband said he couldn’t hear and he’d like him to take order there and the kid became increasingly angry and said that it was not the way things worked here and we had to drive around. So my husband said can you take my order and then we will drive around, there was literally no one behind us and he still made us waste our time and drive around. When we arrived there was someone new to serve us. The lady told us his name is Cameron and our order number was 77 at 9:16pm this evening. This young man should not be on window duty.
