The Town Pump Restaurant and Lounge — Restaurant in Alberta

Normally I would suggest this place to eat. As it's normally one of the better places in Stettler for food and or accommodation. It is however the place to go for a good steak in town. No one will argue that (normally).

However tonight it just missed the mark. I appreciate 20% off the Steak that wasn't cooked properly cooked Blue in place of medium-rare. If we knew the steak would be put in the microwave we wouldn't have sent it back. Excessive grease and zero flavor came with my steak quesadilla. The server had good Intentions but was just too much for us to enjoy any type of atmosphere. We could have had a better meal in prison with the same service. Paid the bill RELUCTANTLY 15% tipped because Christmas is around the corner.. left there with a $50 bill feeling very ripped off 😕 won't be returning for a long while at least not on a Sunday.. The lesson is if you don't deliver on the order please take it off the bill. Do not insult a client with a 20% discount hoping that 20% might come back to you on the Bill even though you were still charged for food that wasn't even eaten because it wasn't cooked properly. The texture of the Steak w nuked rubber it wasn't chewable (microwaved) good steak melts...

This restaurant hosted a team dinner for our Devon players over the weekend for Stettlers home hockey tournament, I can't speak for others but I was very pleased with food and service, my son says the pizza was in his top 3 favourites, portion sizes are American style very big and excellent..Greek inspired food, I myself and several others loved this place, very home town- definitely a staple in the community. Next time we are headed down south our family will be stopping in for a meal. Service was swift and awesome, super nice ladies. Thank you for a wonderful meal and hosing 40 of us...

I am extremely disappointed 😔. My Son and his Spouse went to play Pool and have a couple drinks...... I live far away and ...We thought, We will put 50.00 on our credit card, so they can enjoy a couple drinks ( they took a Cab) off of Momma and Joe. We live in Farmington NM....so a little hard to stop by and have a drink 😉. Anyhow they WON'T do that😳😔. They lost 50.00 plus whatever else I could pay up there....here and there for them to have fun🤬😬😔. Not the staffs Fault......just hard for me...
