OPA! of Greece Centennial Village, Okotoks — Restaurant in Alberta

Most times I love going to Opa. One of the ladies working there used to remember my order and have it put into the system before I could even walk all the way to the till. But, recently I went there to grab some dinner for myself and my family, and received the worst service I can remember. We walked in at around 5:15 and walked right up to the counter to order. After this, we waited for a little while (around 15 minutes) and the people ahead of us seemed like they were becoming really impatient. 2 different Skip the Dishes couriers walked in and grabbed their orders immediately (no big deal, we understood those need to be first priority) but we had already been there for a while and they hadn't even begun to make our food. They start our calamari, then a wrap for another one of our meals, then proceed to make 12 different meals for Skip the Dishes before our last one was made. Our first two meals were already cold, so we asked for new calamari (having been there for over a half hour already, we'd been oping for fresh food) they actually threw the old calamari back into the deep fryer. Then after that, they ran out of chicken for our last meal and when we asked for a refund on the chicken they told us they couldn't do that and could only substitute it for beef or lamb. No apology, no refund on the food we didn't order. We took home two cold meals and one wrong order after 45...

Friendly staff, however there are a few things that were not good about the place. Firstly, the tables and countertops were extremely messy and dirty, as if they weren't continuously cleaning them after each use (which you are supposed to do right now). Secondly, the debit machine was sticky and it was nice to see they had a bottle of hand sanitizer, however it was evident that they didn't clean the machine regularly. We ordered a lamb pita wrap meal with fries and the fries were hot and fresh, but the wrap itself tasted a bit old. The meat was super dry and the veggies tasted like they had been sitting for quite some time. We also grabbed the lamb platter meal and the rice had a funny taste to it, and the lamb was dry as well, and the potato had hardened. The Greek salad was delicious though.

Have ordered gyro wraps at various locations in Calgary and never had issues...however I went into this okotoks location and ordered 3 today and came home to this.. almost no meat in all of them ...4 bite size pieces...won't be back
