Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Alberta

Ordered a large pizza with stuffed crust, cheesesticks, and oreo cookie papa bits. We were told it will take 35 minutes maximum to be delivered to our location (10 min drive away). We coordinated some friends to come have lunch together based on the times provided to us. At the 35-minute mark in which the order should have arrived, we got a call from the driver to confirm my address, and was told the driver was leaving right then. Keeping in mind, the Papa John's locaton, and my delivery location are only 10 minutes at most drive apart, the driver didn't arrive for another 25 minutes. The driver tried to tell me that they came straight from there to me, which simply can't be true. I called Papa John's and tried to tell them everything. The woman at the Papa Johns told me the driver went to the wrong location. I explained that the pizza was cold, and the people I had over for lunch were gone back to work without eating. She told me I had a free pizza on my account, but I find that hard to believe as she called me 15 minutes after everything, asking if my pizza had arrived. I was baffled when she asked this as I literally told her in the previous call our food was cold.

Long story short , they were completely off on their timing, and the food was just horrible. Questionable as to if it was even cooked properly, as the stuffed crust had actual logs of cheese in the crust, nowhere near melted.

Papa John's was really good at one point, now I would not...

Coupon Codes mean terrible quality pizza... My fiance and I always order pizza from this location and it's always amazing. Which is why I was super excited when I got a coupon code for 30% off!

On Wednesday April 3rd, 2019 we ordered a large pepperoni with jalapenos. They definitely saved the 30% by barely putting any cheese on it and decreasing the diameter of the pizza by a solid 2"!! I am really disappointed because we've been loyal customers and we finally caught a break with that coupon code.

We aren't ones to be picky but this was far beyond disappointing. It was blatantly obvious they wanted to save the loss of mark-up by eliminating toppings and reducing the size. Wish I had a photo but we were too hungry & busy packing for our trip that we didn't think of posting a review until after.

Any other time we have ordered from the Okotoks location we have had nothing but amazing service and wicked good pizza. Papa John's is our #1 choice for a pizza cheat meal so when we do cheat on our healthy meals we always know it's going to be amazing... sadly this...

A few weeks ago we ordered a Papa John's pizza from this establishment. The pizza itself wasn't great by any stretch of the imagination, but what really surprised me (and not the good kind of surprise) was the piece of gravel I bit into. Yep, gravel. Papa John's, do you cover dental crowns? Asking for myself. The crazy thing is that just a couple weeks before this took place, I was chatting with a co-worker who said she had bitten into gravel eating a slice of pizza as well, but from another pizza joint in Okotoks. These pizza places in town must all be buying their flour from the same place, and it's arriving laced with this summer delicacy (for added texture, I'm sure).
