It is a local place and I wanted to recall a good experience I had before the covid era. So, I returned... and left with a bit of disappointment. I believe the way the store was organized to process the order and service was nicely done. The store owner surely considered safety of people. For that, I give a big applause. But serving food in a take-out container as shown in the photo made me wonder if I came out for camping or dining-in. I wonder if it was a cost saving measure or staffing issue. Regardless, in comparison, for the price they were charging, and my experience in other breakfast places in Canmore, this arrangement fell shorter than my expectations. The food... This is a bit of question mark for me. The sausage was tasteless, the bread felt dry and the potatoes were one of the lower qualities I tasted in years. The only thing I can say I enjoyed was the eggs. What happened? I really wanted to leave a great review in support of the local biz, but I believe they need to do better than how they are doing now. If I am putting too harsh opinions, I do apologize to the store owner and the staff, but in all fairness, I had to put my honest experience. ....... in addition... Regarding asking to remake the meal? Perhaps I should have. Unfortunately, all I saw was less attentive staff, perhaps the busy kitchen situation. I did not feel comfortable adding any more requests to that. However, I surely will ask it to remake the food next time if I feel it was not done adequately.

A great little cafe for breakfast. The staff is warm and friendly. The service is quick and efficient. Everyone seems to be hustling to ensure the customers are taken care of in the best possible way. Seating inside the restaurant may feel a little tight, especially during the busiest hours. There are a few small tables, booths, and one moderately sized picnic table for groups, or small parties that don't mind sharing the space The outside patio is very spacious with tables of varying sizes. Weather permitting, it is very comfortable. However, tables can be at a premium during the busiest hours. The food is really good. It's served very hot. We weren't able to try everything on the menu, being that the selection is very large and varied. We noticed the cooks are very organized and efficient with a smaller working area. Parking might be an issue if you are opposed to parking on the street. There's a small parking lot adjoining the restaurant, however it shares it with a couple other businesses. When we visited, the parking lot was always full. There was street parking available and that's what we used. If you're looking for a place outside of busy downtown Canmore, where parking is at a premium and at a cost, then this is definitely your place. It seems popular amongst those who know of its existence.

Great spot in Canmore for breakfast. They have a number of options and baked goods as well. You order at the counter and they will bring the food out to you when it's ready. The cafe itself has a decent amount of seating with a few picknick tables outside. Staff were friendly and service was fairly quick, though on weekends it does get quite busy, so be prepared to lineup when you get there. Food itself was great and of a decent value (I'd say between $12 and $16 for a meal on average) when compared to other places in Canmore. Protions are large but not huge, you will certainly be full if you come here! All in all, a must try for anyone visiting Canmore. Cash, debit, and credit accepted, parking is available but when busy it might be a little hard to find a spot in the parking lot. If so, just park on the street.

I decided to come here for breakfast this morning because of the high rating and great reviews. The place was very popular and crowded, so we waited quite a while to get a table. However, even after we were seated, no one came to clear the previous customers’ dishes.

When a waitress with a long blonde ponytail brought our coffee, I politely asked if she could please clear the table. She placed the coffee down heavily, spilled some water on our table while taking away the plates, and showed no sign of apology. We even started wiping the water ourselves before she finally came over with a cloth — and even then, she did it carelessly. I was honestly shocked by such rude behavior and couldn’t understand why we were being treated that way.

Later, I asked if I could have a glass of water — she quietly said I should get it myself. Her indifferent attitude left me completely speechless.

After that, I noticed her being friendly and smiling while serving other customers, which made me wonder if we were treated differently because we are Asian.

I’m truly surprised this restaurant has a 4.8 rating. I’ve never encountered such disrespectful service before. We had already paid a tip when ordering, but if we had known the service would be like this, we definitely wouldn’t have.

The food was average, the coffee smelled great — but she almost spilled it on the table when serving. Overall, such an attitude is completely...

My husband and I visited for lunch this weekend as we were staying in Canmore and the restaurant is rated quite highly (4.6/5). We had high hopes, but unfortunately they weren’t met :( No signage about whether to seat yourself or wait to be seated (there’s no hostess stand, so we weren’t sure), no signage telling customers to order at the counter, and no staff member acknowledged us the whole time we were standing awkwardly by the door - finally another customer explained that you order the counter. When we did order there was confusion about the fruit side options: I asked for a “cup of fruit” as the options on the menu are “cup of fruit” or “bowl of fruit” and the staff member taking the order replied with “so do you want the 6 piece or the 12 piece?”, even though the menu says nothing about 6 vs 12. Food was mediocre (the eggs tasted kind of weird and the hash browns were a bit under cooked). No one came to check in once we received our food to ask how it was. It would also have been nice to have more menu options that don’t include eggs as there’s currently only one eggless option (oatmeal) (my husband doesn’t eat eggs, so we pieced together a meal with side dishes). The saving grace was the sunny outdoor patio and the fact that our food came quite quickly. Given our experience today, though, we...
