Wendy's — Restaurant in Alberta

The MOST disgusting Wendy’s I’ve been to and the worst bathroom in existence, not fit for use. 3 stalls in the women’s bathroom, one is out of order, another has what I hope is water all over the floor and the entire toilet seat on the ground against the wall, and the third is functioning but absolutely disgusting. Then there’s no paper towel to dry your hands and the air dryer doesn’t work. On brand for Wendy’s I suppose. When we informed the employees the bathroom was not ok the first man was annoyed but fine, the second however decided to argue that he had refilled the paper towel in the last 30 minutes so it’s not their fault it’s out. First, I am quite sure it wasn’t refilled but even if it was, it is absolutely your job to ensure it stays filled and usable ?? How would that not be your responsibility ? I pointed out the bathroom floor is absolutely filthy and the sheet they’re supposed to fill out when it’s been cleaned has no date and shows it was cleaned one time at 7pm. Since it’s 2pm it clearly hasn’t been touched in the last almost 24 hours and probably not for at least a week considering the state of the place. He kept arguing and lying that they clean it all the time and it’s not their fault. Highly recommend to just drive past this place and head to the McDonald’s 100 ft down, will probably be less disappointed and argued with by staff who think their literal job is not their job. A simple “thanks for letting us know we will sort it out” would have been more than enough but they chose arguing was more on brand....

The way this Wendy's/Tim Hortons has dealt with Covid19 is unacceptable. First of all there was a very unclearly marked line to get into the washrooms. Almost everyone had to be told that there was a line up. Second, there was only one of two washrooms open which lead to the line taking about 30 minutes. Third, the manager was asked why the closed washroom wasn't open and his response was that it wasnt their issue because he was the Wendy's manager and it was Tim Horton's staff's responsibility. He also moved the line to do an almost figure 8 so people at the back of the line were right next to the entrance of the washroom. How does that make sense?? There was also no physical distancing when leaving the restaurant as the exit was right where all the people waiting for their Tim Hortons orders were. My wife is pregnant, and the only reason we came in was to use the washroom and get some quick food after a long road trip. If the situation had been handled differently, by the manager, we wouldn't have been so upset. All he did was say the washroom was closed, and he moved the line so it made a figure 8. All he needed to say is that the washroom was out of order and that the plumber had been called. Even a simple apology would have sufficed. I would NOT recommend going to that...

update Last time I will visit this Wendy’s. Food quality has very poor the last three visits and now, this location does not participate in the $4.99 Spicy chicken sandwich deal. How cheap are the owners? Too cheap for me to support them. Get better at literally everything. Awful. Losing a fairly frequent customer because of this.

Krabby Patty Kollab combo. Burger is essentially a cheeseburger deluxe with a unique sauce added. I feel like it is a hybrid between french, ranch and thousand island dressing. It worked. Messy though. Fries were inconsistent, with many small burnt and overcooked pieces. The pineapple frosty was surprisingly good. I dislike pineapple but can usually tolerate its flavour in food and drinks. This iteration is on the higher end of pineapple flavouring. Way above my expectations. I redeemed an offer and this store has a completely ridiculous and unacceptable practise. Redemptions must be placed on til number 1, but you have to pay with cash. That til does not accept card. This is pure idiocy and must be rectified. To the staff’s credit, though, they allowed me to order and redeem and pay on a separate old debit machine.
