This is the first time I've ever had fresh crispy tempura at a place that offers all-you-can-est sushi - and fresh edamame.
That basically set the pace for the entire experience. I'll admit that we were there an hour before closing on a Thursday so we were literally the only people there. But even so, the service was excellent, absolutely top notch and that's especially pertinent considering we had all-you-can-eat. The prices and selection were very reasonable and competitive with many of the places we have been in Calgary. They don't have absolutely everything thing on the menu, but the selection is enough that everyone can get a little bit of what they like: spicy, vegetarian, heavy on the rice, heavy on the sushi, etc.
The server was very patient, informative, and extremely polite. We felt like we were treated like VIPs the entire night; he was excellent.
To top it all off, the location is great, has plenty of parking nearby, and the quality of the building and interior furnishings was great. Everything in excellent repair and very comfortable and clean overall.
I'll definitely be making this one of my top go-to locations for sushi. Thanks for...
Read moreWhat an awful experience. Booked a reservation for 2 on Valentine’s Day. There was 3 tables occupied when we entered and 2 of them were finished up and left while we waited for our drink orders to be taken. It took 30 minutes to have our drink order taken and when our beers were brought to the table they brought us no glass despite giving them to all the tables next to us. After 45 minutes we received our appetizer of dumplings. The dumplings tasted store bought and they were so over cooked that they were very crunchy and hard. After 1 hour we asked how much longer it would be to and we’re notified they would have to finish serving the table next to us before making our order. In the meantime a couple who walked in off the street was served before us. I am not sure what happened here but the service was so bad it was offensive. I will never go back to this place. When we left we both smelled like we had put in a shift as a fry cook. A nasty reminder of this...

Service was good. But because the server was working alone, and was dealing with skip the dishes orders and take out, he never came to check on us until he noticed we were done eating.
As for atmosphere, the place was disgustingly dirty. Dust was EVERYWHERE. The restaurant also smelled of old oil. The chairs were covered by sketchy fabric that made me wonder what on earth I was sitting on.
It'd not the food or service that will keep me from coming back... it's the dirty, dusty fan, cobwebs from the puck lights and every black ledge that will have me...
