My wife and I were skiing at Silverstar this past week and decided to try this new place (at least new to me). I think the current owners and managers have been there for a year or two. Anyway, what a great experience!!! Laura our server was amazing and so was the food. The place also has a great vibe and is spotlessly clean and maintained. We had the burger and mussels which were both excellent--the mussels being, literally, the best mussels I have ever had (Period). I am looking forward to this ski season having "discovered" this awesome place in what is already an awesome place: Silverstar Mountain and Village!

Menu looked tasty and trendy. Decided on the burger and beer special. The burger was special alright. Looked like they took a processed frozen burger and cut it in half to make it even thinner. They then took a half a slice of processed cheese and added a 1/3 of a slice of bacon. My opinion is, you are better to charge a couple bucks more and serve a decent burger than serve a disappointing piece of garbage meat. The beer was good and cold. Not returning

Black Pine Social is our favorite restaurant in the village! Nice atmosphere overlooking the village, delicious food, and excellent service. We loved the bourbon and maple syrup cocktail, the super food salad, both the shiitake and the tonkotsu ramens, and the sticky toffee pudding! We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re at Silver Star.

Unless there was nothing else open, I would not recommend coming to the Black Pine establishment. Making a guest having to use a QR code to look at the menu online, rather than the typical physical copy of the menu, is a good idea however this would be an issue due to travellers might not having data or access to internet makes this almost impossible, and when scanning the QR code it taking it to your main website instead of straight to the menu, which was not clearly presented having to ask the server to explain certain parts of the menu. After receiving the menu as per asked, the menu was spilt over 4 pages and not in order and not attached somehow together, excluding the fact that there was no drinks menu delivered at the same time. The server then forgets after taking our food order to neglect to ask whether or not we would like drinks or a drinks menu. After our food being delivered, we hadn’t been asked whether we wanted drinks, we then ask the server (not the one who had been serving us) for someone drinks or if we need to go over to the bar and calls over the server who was serving us. Then out server comes over and asks what we want to drink without having seeing the drinks menu. After taking our drinks order and receiving our drinks, excluding to ask one of the people in our three person party if they wanted a drink. For what was delivered food, it was a disgusting taste for the price of the food. As we just sat down, another couple walked in and sat close by, and by the time we left this couple had not received their meals compared to others and at which time both of us ordered there was only about 20 people in the establishment compared to when we left there were busier with about 100 people. I would not recommend this place for a fine dining experience, nor just a place to eat. And please note I work in F n B in a country that does not even tip, and the serve was appalling, the management needs to take some...

10/10 – Absolutely Outstanding Catering and Bar Service for our Wedding at the Chilcoot Conference Centre! We cannot say enough good things about Kat and her incredible team. From the start, they went above and beyond to ensure our wedding day ran smoothly — and with around 150 guests to feed and serve, that was no small task! Kat was organized, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable, offering valuable advice that helped us plan a seamless flow for both food and bar service. Her team handled everything — from setting up a beautiful bar to coordinating the rental of all glassware — with such care and efficiency that we didn’t have to worry about a thing. The food was absolutely delicious — beautifully prepared, perfectly timed, and full of flavor. Our guests are still raving about it! The bartenders were equally impressive: friendly, fast, and made sure everyone was taken care of throughout the night. If you’re looking for a catering and bar team that’s professional, personable, and truly dedicated to making your day exceptional, Kat and her team are it. We’re so grateful for everything they did to help make our wedding unforgettable. Highly,...

Party of 3, had appies, 1 drink, mains and desserts. Appies were decent - had the brussel sprouts and karagae chicken, these came out pretty quickly. Mains ordered were: burger (solid 7/10), beet salad (6/10), Caesar salad with grilled chicken (1/10). Main concern would be the incredibly overpriced Caesar "salad" with a whisper of dressing (hint: a Caesar salad has few components, arguably the most important would be the dressing). Literally a head of romaine lettuce (uncut, no this was not a wedge salad) slapped on a plate with a dash of sauce. Chicken was incredibly dry. I ate the chicken and left the sad head of lettuce on the plate. Not once did the sever come over and ask how the meal was - I would've been honest with them. Service started solid and just completely died off at the end. Had been to this spot last year when we vacationed, had the ramen, also would not recommend. Bummer, but hope the place can take some constructive criticism and...
