I'm a BBQ chicken enthusiast, and I couldn't resist trying it even when i went to Korea. So, I know my KFC(Korean Fried Chicken). Opting for the BBQ Chicken in Aurora due to its proximity, I placed an online order and picked it up. Having been a fan of BBQ chicken from Yonge & Major MacKenzie, I anticipated a similar taste and quality. Unfortunately, this turned out to be the worst Korean fried chicken experience I've ever had. The $24, 8-piece package included three tiny pieces with mostly bones and no meat(looked like scrsp pieces), and the taste was far from what I expected. Disheartened by both the appearance and flavor, we didn't even consume the chicken. At $3 per piece, I understand costs have risen, but this was excessive. A week later, when I made my own fried chicken using a similar-sized portion, I got over 15 pieces from half of the chicken, and it tasted so much better. So, the $24 chicken was so much less than half of chicken. In the future, I'll stick to my usual spot or make it at home. This experience was a letdown for Korean chicken, and BBQ Chicken should prioritize better quality control before expanding. I hope this review sheds light on the situation. While I prefer writing positive reviews, experiences like this make it challenging. Toronto's food vendors need to step up to elevate the industry, and it's...
Read moreThis is the first time I visited this BBQ Chicken restaurant, I think they have opened only for a few months. This is also my first time to try the Korean style fry chicken. At first, I thought that at was a fast food store, but actually they have dine in & take out, price is the same. Different from fast food like KFC or Mary Brown , you have to wait at least 15 minutes for the food you have ordered. They asked you was it ok to wait for 15 mins. Also they don't have small portion order, like 2 pieces, 3 pieces or 4 pieces. The combo chicken wing is 6 pieces with salad. You can choose boneless or with bones, either half chicken or a plate of bigger portion . Need to take some time to understand how to order. Lucky that the service is very good, the chicken wing I have ordered is very good , very crispy and juicy , to go with the salad is a perfect match. The way they cook the chicken is very good, not oily ! Also , I don't like to put sauce on it, the best way to taste the food. I am sure I will go back to try those...
Read moreWe visited BBQ Chicken on Monday, August 4th at 9:00 PM. Unfortunately, the service experience was very disappointing.
The server behaved disrespectfully. The bottle of soda that I had ordered was slammed onto the table in front of my friend, which felt very rude. The server appeared visibly upset and angry throughout our visit.
While clearing a nearby dirty table, he was throwing the dirty dishes into the bin without any care or consideration, creating loud and disturbing noises that ruined the atmosphere.
We also asked him for water, but he never brought any to our table. Yet, moments later, he brought a full bottle of water to the table next to us without them even asking. This behavior felt extremely discriminatory and offensive, and it left us deeply uncomfortable.
Although the food was excellent, the server’s unprofessional, disrespectful, and possibly racist attitude left a very bad...
