The person who was working the drive thru was not listening, rude, pushy and then she started to raise her voice and became angry. When ordering we asked for a burger with only cheese. The order board didn’t say anything about that. So after finishing the order, I gently asked if she got the burger down as plain only cheese on it, so I didn’t run into the issue of going back in and getting it remade. I was answered with an annoyed response “ uh, yeah I heard you the first time “ so I said ok just double checking as I didn’t see it on the order. Got to the window, she was very short and kinda aggressive handed the debit machine out the window. Said nothing after and “slammed” the window shut. The worker at the second window was very friendly. My wife then looked in the bag before we left the parking lot to check the burger. It had everything on it. So I went inside and explained to the front till that we just wanted only cheese on the burger. Then mid conversation, the girl comes over and says “what is the issue with the burger?” I said it was wrong and that I doubled checked so we didn’t have this problem. She rolled her eyes and stormed off. Now I swear I thought I was on a hidden camera show. When I got the “correct” burger out to the truck and handed it to my daughter, it was the bun and just cheese, there was no meat in sight. Now I was abit upset and frustrated at this point. So I headed back in and the front desk said you asked for only cheese and that I had the correct burger. I explained that I said I wanted it plain with only cheese on it. She said “ well that’s not what you asked for, you said only cheese “ then proceeded to say ok so so you know what you want so we don’t have to keep making your burger. So yes I was frustrated and felted dumb and embarrassed at this point because people were looking. “ I would like the bun, with the burger meat and the cheese please. She said “ I’m not dumb and know what a burger is and you don’t need to treat me like that “ I didn’t even know what to say. She handed the burger and said check it and make sure it’s your standard. I just walked out. Moral of the story, don’t go here and if the cashier doesn’t want to work with customers maybe she should look at other options. I still think that this was a dream or...
Read moreAvoid this location, it has gone way downhill in the past year or two and its quality and service are no longer up to par with other McDonalds locations nearby: -Almost no food items ever come out prepared correctly: mcchickens come out with a tiny dab of sauce and two or three shreds of lettuce, fries come out completely unsalted and lukewarm, the eggs in the mcmuffins come out cooked way too long to the point that they're dry as a bone with black and green parts, bagels are burnt to a crisp, mcflurries come as a cup of ice cream with a tiny bit of toppings dropped on top and not mixed in -They frequently forget items from your order, then give you trouble when you go in to ask for it -Drive-thru often moves extremely slowly, coming to a complete halt for minutes at a time -Staff usually ignore one drive-thru speaker and take 2 or 3 cars in a row from the other speaker -Customers routinely cut each other off in the drive-thru line, staff don't give any instructions to discourage this (I've had the person on the speaker at other mcdonalds say go before the other car, or the other car was before you wait for them) and freely process the cutter's order before yours and it's laid out in a way to give the outer lane priority -Almost every time I come here, I speak part or all of my order into the drive-thru speaker, then suddenly a different staff member interrupts the previous one mid-sentence, takes over, and asks me to start again from scratch -Staff, especially working the drive-thru payment window, are rude -They tell you to pull into a parking spot even for a simple order of one quick item while nobody is behind you in the drive-thru -Several years into having the mobile app, drive-thru staff are often still confused and unfamiliar with how to process mobile orders and have to ask a manager
This used to be the best McDonalds in the nearest few towns, maybe even the best I'd personally been to in the GTA, now it's one of the worst, which is...
Read moreAfter spending $23 on a horrible/stale/cold meal at the McDonald's location at Yonge and Eagle, I went to the Aurora location to talk to a manager as the attitude of the employees at the Y&E location was careless and borderline rude. I was given a dry double cooked double quarter pounder, and refried chicken nuggets that were so hard it chipped my tooth. I will never return to that location again. They didn't even give me a receipt, and after spending $23.xx on my meal, they actually charged me 60 cents for 2 BBQ sauces. Absolutely ridiculous. You'd think the nearly $10 for 10 nuggets would have enough sauce for them. If this is a corporate rule, then McDonald's has some morons working at their head office. I'd really like to see the expression on their face the next time they go for wings somewhere and see a charge for wing sauce on their bill, just ridiculous and extremely cheap... but I digress.
The manager at the Aurora location was excellent. I don't know her name, but she was the nightshift manager on a Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. Unlike the Newmarket location, this location cares about their customers and the quality of the food they provide. My replacement meal was, hot, fresh, and probably the best McDonald's meal I've ever had. The manager was pleasant, apologetic (for a mistake that wasn't even hers), and understanding. I also want to compliment the line cooks on their quality control. It was a night and day difference between what I received in Aurora compared to the junk I was given in Newmarket. The manager at the aurora location clearly knows how to run a store and has great customer service skills.
I'd strongly advise driving the extra 5 or so minutes to the McDonald's at Bayview and Allaura. They actually have standards, and realize they're serving food to people and not dogs. Easy 5 stars from service to...
