So I just reduced this from 3 stars to 2. There is no doubt that Mc Donald's will always be a comfort food and a place to go for a treat...but things have shifted and become unacceptable. I'm not sure you'll feel the same...
First of all they call it fast food...but your order typically takes more than a few minutes...and the drive through is VIP, forget about it if you happen to dine in...
Do you remember when the wait took too long, they'd give you some free Apple pies or something, just to make you feel good...those days are gone.
All of these technological wonders to make things easier has slowed things down...mobile ordering creates a huge bottle neck.
So prior to today, these service issues had garnered a 3 star from me. What happened today was just unreal...i think it was almost down right offensive. So I placed my order, when I got to pay, I made some order changes so that I can use a coupon...(i got the app). I pay and move along in the queue.
I get to the 2nd window where I wait for my food. I'm first handed my drinks, then 2 bags, being told all my food was there. I open quickly to do a quick check because of the last minute change I just made...and there was something missing, not the end of the World, the attendant goes to get my missing fries.
It's when he comes back and gives me the fries where the "questionable" activity occurs. A manager looks up at the order board, as I place my missed order of fries into my bag, and says "you know he changed his order from 20 nuggets to 10". Hearing this I look into my bag, that I've now been breathing over for about 80 seconds, and then I hear the manager tell the attendant "get the bags back!" , and so he asks for them back, I cooperate but sigh and say this is ridiculous...not sure what they did if anything, but I can't stop thinking about them actually taking food out of my bag and then placing it in another bag, waiting for the next person to order the same thing.
If they made a mistake and placed more food in my bag, which I'm not even sure they did, it's better to just leave it alone, then to ask for food back and allow me to leave thinking they could be serving that food to someone else...
How times...
Read moreI live not too far from this location and tend to frequent this location on the way home from work. This evening I pulled up at the drive thru and took a look at the menu board, one of the pictures (picture attached) caught my attention, the Chinese Szechuan burger! I placed my order and paid my total at the window. I proceeded to drive home to get comfortable and enjoy the meal I just purchased from this McDonald's. I began biting into the burger and to my surprise, the burger was absolutely horrendous (picture also attached)! Not only does the burger not look like the ad picture (which I understand) but it didn't even have all the ingredients, there was no tomato, no grilled onions and approximately 5 crispy wonton chips. The burger that was sold to me had the sesame bun (as advertised) accompanied with a big glob of mayonnaise, a dry burnt beef patty, a few wilted leaves of lettuce and a few crispy wonton chips. I am not sure if the person who made this burger knew what ingredients to put in this burger, or has even ever made a hamburger before. If this is the quality of food I can expect from your location, I will be driving to another location for food from now on.
*UPDATE: It has now been over a month since my original review and complaint to McDonald's head office... to this day I have NOT heard even once from this franchisee or McDonald's head office, this is a very clear indication of how concerned Mcdonald's is about their customer concerns and quality of food they sell to all of us... this shows that McDonald's just sees every customer as a dollar sign and if you aren't happy with your experience there are others that will still be coming in your place. Though they couldn't care less, McDonald's has lost me as a customer for life. I will walk into ANY fast food chain before even considering entering another McDonald's location!
*UPDATE: Now more than a year later and still no word from McDonald's head office OR this franchisee. I have yet to walk into any McDonald's locations and I feel absolutely phenomenal! Thank you for providing such terrible customer service McDonald's and helping me realize that I was slowly killing myself by...
Read moreWanted to spend our hard earned cash here (like we'd been doing since it opened) with 3 kids.. They have made so much money from my family eating there but today, Friday November 3, 2017 at around 2:50pm, we had a very bad experience with the Kitchen Manager and the Store Manager on duty at the time.. (I didn't get their names).. but how do you become a manager if she's that stupid.. she does not know how to keep customers coming back.. I thought places that want your money/business should make you happy just by giving a simple act of gratitude. To the Owner of this McDonald's: Train your Managers, (especially that stupid one..) the simple art on how to keep people coming back to spend their money at your restaurant.. one simple chocolate milk would have made my little daughter happy and kept us coming back to this restaurant. We were ordering a regular combo and then I wanted to use my free Monopoly small fountain drink prize/coupon for a small chocolate milk instead of a fountain drink because my daughter wanted chocolate milk but these stupid cheap.. so called Managers say "No we can't substitute a small fountain drink for a small chocolate milk because that's what it says on the little piece of monopoly prize paper ".. Really?? Wow... This is how these dumb Managers think now? We are very pissed off at their stupid managers and their stupid strict policy. We will Boycott this McDonald's on Earl Stewart Drive and Bayview Ave. in Aurora. Don't spend your money at places like this where they can't bend the rules a little bit to make customers happy.. You lost a lifetime customer.. and my kids will learn from this.. and hopefully...
