Just wanted to share a disappointment on this restaurant. We reserved a table for 12 for Saturday July 19th to celebrate a bride to be who came all the way from Alberta for her bridal shower and we wanted to take her to dinner after as she has always liked BSpoke. The other reason we picked this restaurant was as when any of our party members have been here prior, have always had the back of the restaurant so it's out of the way when in a bigger party. We was put on a long table right in the middle of the main front restaurant. To top it off it was under the full blowing air conditioning and was very cold and sitting on backless stools which were very uncomfortable. We asked our waitress if we could move and she spoke to the manager who said we were not able to move and could offer us to switch out 4 stools for backed chairs. We asked if we could swap out a couple more but we was told by the manager no that we could not do that only 4 could be switched. Why is it okay for us to sit on these uncomfortable stools and other tables have backed chairs? Made for a very uncomfortable dinner experience. To add i am short and could not touch the stool bar so my feet dangled for the time we were there. I guess because we had made these requests we started getting disapproving looks from the staff and the manager for our whole visit, which made us feel very unwelcome and uncomfortable. The server we had was not very attentive never asked if anyone needed anything or drinks each time we wanted another drink we had to flag someone down to order! We felt it was a hassle for her if we asked for something. We felt like we were a hindrance to the staff and manager. Not a nice feeling. Our experience was definitely ruined by the service and the looks we kept getting. My daughter works at a restaurant in Barrie and also commented on how bad our service was, which reflected on our tips. One of the ladies bills were charged for 2 drinks and only had 1. Seemed an inconvenience when brought to our servers attention. If you cannot handle big parties you should not be taking large reservations or put them to the back of the restaurant is my opinion. We will not be returning again which is sad as the...

I recently had one of the most disappointing dining experiences at B’spoke. What should have been a pleasant meal was completely overshadowed by the behavior of our waitress “Dani”, who was shockingly rude and unprofessional from the moment we were seated.
First, she greeted us with a dismissive attitude and barely acknowledged our presence. Throughout the meal, she made no effort to check on us or refill our drinks, and any requests we made were met with visible annoyance. Randomly another server started serving us who was extremely nice and when I asked if she was our new server she said yes, then our original server returned with hostility regarding the fact we placed more drink orders with another waitress and thats why our bills weren’t right as if we did something wrong?
The tipping point (pun intended) came at the end of the meal. She became confrontational about the tip, aggressively implying we should leave more—even though her service didn’t merit it. It was uncomfortable and unprofessional. She came up to the table when I asked the other server for her name and said “ if you guys have a concern regarding your payment issues or whatever is going on, I can give you my managers card it’s absolutely no problem at all for me” with EXTREME attitude and sarcasm to the point I was shaking out of uncomfortably.
Overall, the food might have been decent (when it finally arrived), but the service was so appalling that I would never return. I don’t expect perfection, but I do expect basic courtesy and professionalism, neither of which we received. I strongly recommend avoiding this restaurant unless you’re prepared to endure a similarly...
Read moreI am unable to remark on the atmosphere of this establishment, as I have only engaged with this particular establishment via order/take-out.
I shall only comment on the food, and/or interaction of delivery, if any.
My original experience with this restaurant was similar to many others vis delivery via a 3rd party which there are plenty of, that was many years and MANY, MANY, $ later. I now use their own website, which saves me $ and these days, " every penny counts" , is very meaningful.
To the point THE FOOD: i have a large generational family we check all the boxes, from young and pickey to old and non- adventurous and very adventurous in-between. WITHOUT question everyone LOVES the food. You truly will not only get, wondefull food you will get decent value, done with care, packaged right. Honestly your going to see, feel and experience the effort, care & passionof whomever is, " running the; joint", The gambit & choices at this establishment, the breath & depth is ambitious they meet the mark & challenge, without question.
The delivery experience again, done many, many, times and when the odd circumstances arises the Ownership/Management has gone ABOVE and beyond to rectify the solution, are reasonable & want your business, REFRESHING!.
I have no skin in the game, no monetary incentives for anything I say, on this rare circumstance ov me presenting a revuew. However I do have a motive, & I disclose my motive. I Ihave lived in this very community for almost 25 years, I feel, I have not always done enough to support the businesses and entities that make my community rich, good, wonderful & important. This business & all the people that work in it, not only make great food, they make my city uniquely wondefull & I want MORE of this in my city, because this is...
