Visited yesterday with my elderly parents. We ordered the Egg LT Bagel meal, BLT Bagel meal and the Sausage and Egg McMuffin meal. It took over 15 minutes for us to get our food. Everyone waiting was complaining about how slow the service was. Finally got our meal and went to sit down.
My mom started eating and her bagel was super hard. She looked and realized they gave her 2 bagel bottoms, rather than a proper bagel. I went to the front cash to ask them to make the bagel properly and asked the girl if it could be quick as the first time it took over 15 minutes to get the food. She said she would let them know to make it fast as it was an error.
While waiting in line more people in line complaining about the service. There was even a worker waiting for his food as he was on break and he even agreed that this is such a slow McDonalds. Another gentleman in line said he spoke to head office on a few occasions about this location. After another 15 minutes I finally get my mom's proper bagel to only go back to start mine and find it cold (and if anyone knows McDonald's bagels, they need to be eaten right away before they turn into a rock). So I go back and ask the girl to remake mine. She was hesitant because there was nothing wrong with mine to which I responded that she told me my mom's bagel wouldn't take long - to which it took another 15 minutes. I then asked to speak to a Manager who advised me she never even knew there was a problem - to which I said the cashier said she went to tell you guys in the back to make the bagel quick. She said the cashier never said anything. The manager proceeded to make me a fresh bagel herself. The manager ended up taking my name and contact information down and said she would be sending a coupon in the mail for the lack of service - but with this location I wouldn't hold my breathe.
Other problems experienced just in today's visit:
I could go on and on with errors at this location - and the sad part is this "we return." The man who also said he complained to head office about this location reminded me of this. And why do we return - because it is McDonalds. Well the franchises need to be held accountable to the standards other McDonalds set. Read moreI recently switched to McDonald's from Tim Hortons and Starbucks. I dont eat McDonald's food at all, but the coffee is REALLY GOOD. The service is very poor. I've been going here for about 2 weeks now. I always like to get a treat for my dog. Starbucks, it's a pub cup. Which is free. At Tim Hortons, it's a timbit, which is super cheap. Also, at Tim Hortons and Starbucks, I order Americano. McDonald's only has regular coffee.... Their regular coffee is much better than Starbucks or Tim Horton's regular coffee. What drives me nuts is their drive-thru. It has 2 lanes.... When you get there, you choose which lane to go to. 4 times now I've gone to a lane where there wasn't a car and there was already a car there before me already placing their order. I've waited and waited, and another car came and drove in beside me where the other customer was and got served before I was served. This is totally unethical and unfair. Now that this has happened 4 times, I'm making a complaint. I was in a rush this morning and on the phone with the customer when this happened... Instead of placing the order, I drove to the window where you pay. I asked if I could have a manager call me later. I was told by the lady who takes payment to take my complaint to the other window. I drove up to the pickup window. Apparently, the lady I spoke to actually was the manager. I told her that I didn't have time to talk about it right now but that when I was free, I would like to talk to her on the phone. 3 times, she offered me free coffee, but I declined. She never took my name or phone number, and I drove away. I still have one more complaint. McDonald's offers these timbit, like things. They are Biscoff Mcpops...they are jelly filled and they are $1 each. My dog likes them, but they are very expensive. First of all, every time I try to order these the clerk at the window says sorry? And I have to repeat my order. 2 or 3 times. It's not my fault. They are so hard to order because of the stupid name. I tried to order one yesterday but someone had come in and bought all their stock. Anyways, I gave 'em a shot and they failed miserably, and I will never go...
Read more2023 November 2/5 -Drive thru person on the other end when I was giving my order got everything wrong...I said large fries she put in medium...I said a double quarter pounder and she put in a single...the fries they gave us had NO SALT AT ALL...only reason I returned to this location cause a friend told me they had gotten better in terms of their wait times which is true, but they still overall SUCK.
2022 June: 2/5 -waiting for a good minute at the drive thru then they take the other car 2 seconds after it arrives (even though my car is sitting and waiting and I am talking towards the speaker asking, 'HELLO?')...like if I was on a moped I get it why maybe it did not pick up that someone was there but I am in a sedan...did not help that the drive thru person's info about the new specials was wrong (in term of sizes)...in future suggest one use the left drive thru, seems they notice that one first...cashier and person who gave me my order were friendly at least...
2022 March: 2/5 -instruct your staff on how to get your orders correct...I ordered a double quarter pounder, said it twice, they charged and gave me a single. Was ticked as did not notice it until I was on the highway while driving and while VERY hungry, thanks a lot...
2021 August: 5/5 -have come once or twice this month...both times the drive thru was quick and the order was correct (during rush hour both times on a Friday), much improved drive thru speed when compared with July...food in all cases was good quality for a McDs...
2021 July: 2/5 Not sure when they got the drive thru but it is SLOW and both lines were LONG, definitely turtle speed or slower...waited a few minutes and saw it did not budge so reversed and went elsewhere...
OLDER: 3/5 They are faster at this McDs than the one west of 400 but I find their prices on certain items are sometimes a tad more...wish they had a drive...
