As a long-time Starbucks customer, Iām disappointed to say that this recent experience has led me to reconsider my loyalty to the franchise. On July 3rd at approximately 8:15 PM, I visited the drive-thru to redeem my birthday reward. Prior to arriving, the Starbucks app had unexpectedly logged me out. After logging back in, I noticed that all of my stars and rewards had disappeared. Despite this, I proceeded to order, expecting the issue could be resolved at the window. When I presented my Starbucks card, I was informed there were no rewards available. I explained the situation ā including the app malfunction ā and even offered to show my ID to verify it was my birthday. However, the supervisor who was called over responded dismissively and informed me, rather curtly, that due to recent changes to the app, there was nothing they could do, even with my ID as proof. I was left feeling dismissed and pressured to pay for a drink that had already been made, despite clearly being eligible for a birthday reward. The interaction felt cold and unempathetic, and unfortunately, it left me visibly upset. I canāt recall a time when Iāve left an establishment feeling so disheartened. While I understand policies exist, it was the manner in which the situation was handled that was most disappointing. Because of this experience, Iāve decided I will be supporting local cafĆ©s moving forward ā places where customer service still feels personal...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI go to this Starbucks pretty regularly so I was surprised to have a not so great experience this morning. I pre-order on the app so I can pick up my drink quickly and avoid lines, before work. Iāve generally had pretty normal/good experiences with the staff there, other than the girl I encountered this morning. I donāt think Iāve interacted with her before today.
This morning (7:30-7:40am ish), I went in to pick up my drink. I grabbed it from the mobile order area like I normally do and this blonde girl (looked late teens/early 20s; one of the baristas) was scowling at me. I normally say thanks to the baristas as Iām about to leave but before I could even say anything, she blurted āyouāre welcomeā at me in a really rude, condescending tone. I hadnāt even said anything to her. I even smiled when she was scowling at me too, so I donāt know what I did to deserve a bad attitude. I said thanks after, even though it was pretty rude of her to do that. Not sure what her problem was but she should not be dealing with customers if sheās going to treat them poorly. It not only reflects bad on her but also the store and itās other...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had let an employee pick a drink for me, the following day I came back to re-purchase because I enjoyed it. When i re-purchased it, i did a mobile order and just ordered the last thing I had ordered. However, once i got the drink, i realized that the day before the lady didnāt log it was oat milk, she just made sure to add it. So when i re-purchased it didnt have oat milk. I explained the situation as i can not have regular milk, Georgia was so kind to offer to remake my drink no problem, she was more than willing and kind. Didnāt make me feel bad for not realizing sooner. Overall, had a great experience and was very impressed with how welcoming she was and how she instantly was ready to fix the problem that I had made by not double checking before i place the order. Will definitely...
