My wife and I normally only patronize independent restaurants. We find them more unique and the food most often is better. Plus you are helping a businessman or woman and not a corporation. One of the few exceptions we make is Milestones. We have eaten at the Newmarket location and the last few years the Barrie location. Overall I would have to say the food quality has slipped a little over the years. The food doesn’t quite match the price point. That said, the food is still good. My sirloin steak and my wife’s fish tacos were well prepared and tasty. There are other gaps though. For example you can only get fries or mashed potatoes with a $35 sirloin steak. Usually a baked potato is a standard. The Caesar Salads used to be exceptional. Now they are barely average. A comment about the facility itself, nice environment, but when my wife went to use the women’s washroom she said there was what looked like old vomit on the door and cobwebs in the stall. So the washroom had only been superficially cleaned. Anyway, we still enjoyed our meal, but we would likely dine here less frequently than we once did. There are better restaurants in the area. I will say it was busy so there must be a demand for their offerings.

Unfortunately we experienced the worst service. 15 of us were there for my wife's birthday and although the food was outstanding, the service was horrible. We were so neglected by our server we were going to the bartender to order our drinks to take back to our table. We were there for 3.5 hours and not because we were dragging it out. I have never experienced such slow service before at a restaurant. Once our orders were in the food and drinks came quick. So all the other functions of the restaurant were working fine. It was just out server. And then at the end we were forced to pay a 20% tip because we were a reservation "according to their policy". Maybe that was the problem. No incentive to try. No problem. Never again. The overall valued experience here is very poor if you are unfortunate to get a bad server. Putting our server a side, the overall valued experience here is great. Sometimes that's all it takes. Just one person to ruin the experience. It's the Keg Steakhouse for us next time.

Well I’ll only give two and half starts because of very unwelcoming behaviour at the front, the girls at front were not welcoming and straight up stay to leave kind a situation, told us they all table reserved if we like to sit we have to leave within hour. Well we walked-in and next reservation she told us in hour and half, i mean that’s fine if someone booked table but if people are walking in have zero priority. I was with kids and for younger one we have told two different staff members to arrange high chair, since girls in front kinda didn’t seems interested for listening at first. Well food was good and we have to skip starters and desert due to rushing of time limit given to us, because of service I might think twice to visit with family again at this location, I’ll rather go to different location for milestones (Newmarket) or so. If someone planning to go I’ll suggest to book table first else ready for......

I enjoy milestones I think they have a good selection and variety of quality food. I personally enjoyed the food I received but I did have a bit of an issue with my most recent experience . When asked about dietary restrictions and allergies the server seemed to be a bit confused as to what a vegan dietary restriction would contain of. Further clarifying to him that the diet consists of a no meat no egg no dairy restriction. I am not vegan by my girlfriend is. We come to milestones knowing they have a specific plant based menu that will accommodate her dietary restrictions. Trying to find an appetizer that we can both split it seemed like it may have been possible to order the bruschetta and prepare it without dairy as the only dairy item listed on the menu was Asiago which we asked for me on the side. The bread is without egg and dairy, the remaining ingredients listed were olive oil basil garlic tomatos onion and garlic. When confirming with our server that this dish could be made to accommodate my girlfriend’s dietary restriction he confirmed it will be dairy free and suitable for her to eat and share with me as an appetizer. Firstly, I did order a starter salad that seemed to have come out well before our bruschetta that we would be sharing. I eat my salad it was fantastic although I don’t exactly enjoy eating in front of my date who is already more hangry than I was. The bruschetta came out after I had already finished my salad and looked absolutely fantastic. As we are sharing the app she seemed to notice a taste in Parmesan cheese which is no where to be found on the menu ingredients and ruins her appetite as now she has mixed feelings on eating the bruschetta and didn’t feel confident that what she was eating didn’t contain dairy. She waits nearly 5 minutes to get a server to check in and see if everything is good. When bringing to his attention there may be parm and to confirm if there is, this took about another 5 minutes before coming out and letting us know there is in fact Parmesan in it. Now imagine how hangry my girlfriend is as she just saw me eat my salad and now I have to eat her pieces of bruschetta that she could not eat . To make it right the server offered to take it off the bill which in my mind felt like it’s an effort to try to correct our experience but in reality my girlfriend is not happy at all which makes for a bad night for me too. Our mains come out and they are great but this is where things get weird. We have no room for dessert and our server decides to push a dessert on my girlfriend in which she had 0 interest in having but it was a nice gesture to try and make things right . The problem was when we received the bill we had noticed the bruschetta still on it and my girlfriend was fuming at the fact this experience was handled so poorly. Im an easy breezy guy who is quite easy to serve and please at restaurants . I don’t normally like to give these poor reviews . After last night and the way my girl was rattled at the experience I had to write this review because the dessert didn’t make it right the service was very underwhelming and the handling of our problem was completely botched. It really is a shame because I do see so much potential in this particular milestones location but it seems like after many not so great experiences this would have been the one that never...

Absolute disaster of a dinner, I had to work christmas day, so after work my family and I went out for dinner. We had a choice between Spoon and Fork, or milestones. We chose Milestones. My 2 children ordered chicken fingers, and a cheese burger with caeser salad. My 3 year old wouldn't touch the fries, they were dry, crusty and old, definently not fresh. My daughter complained there was no lettuce in the side caeser salad. It was just croutons, bacon bits and bagged parm cheese. My wife ordered the scampi pasta, it was dry and had to be taken back to be retossed with more sauce, the noodles were crunchy and old. Her first time dining at milestones and she wont go back. This dinner was not fresh by any food standards. I myself ordered a the surf and Turf with an upgraded filet cut and a side caeser salad. The salad literally was bacon and croutons with cheap bagged cheese. The steak was 6oz at most, and was missing my seafood Topping. So my steak sat at the table getting cold while I waited on my seafood. The seafood arrived and there was a couple small shrimp, the tiniest scallops I have ever seen, and what appeared to be tiny processed canned or frozen bagged lobster chunks in a processed cream sauce. I have never been as disappointed in a meal as we recieved for $150.00. When I talked to the server about the meal, after my family left she indicated it could have been better, we had a discussion about restaurants in general and let her know I'm a certified chef/general manager and a 25 year veteran of the food service industry. I did tip her and asked that she keep the tip herself and that the kitchen should not recieve a portion of the tip after the horrendous experience. She told me that the general manager takes 8% of all dining room tips per shift from every server and allocates it to the the kitchen and bartenders, but she mostly keeps it herself. I will never ever recommend milestones to people or events again, or eat that garbage ever again. Lessons learned. Thanks for ruining our christmas dinner...

Absolutely loved the food. It was delicious. Unfortunately, my wife has ARFID and there were things that were on her burger which was not listed on the menu (it is in the picture, but she missed that). My wife asked for adjustments according to what was on the menu (no sauce) and did not ask to exclude things that she wasn't aware of being on the burger (tomato, onion, lettuce). When it arrived, my wife requested a small side plate so she could disassemble her sandwich. Once the plate arrived, I helped her disassemble it, and it was fine, did not need to be remade or anything. She (my wife) explained to the waitress that this was entirely her (my wife's) own fault, and she wasn't mad or upset. She just requested the small plate of veg be taken away because she did not want it.

It was at this point that a waitress who had been very pleasant and helpful suddenly got unpleasant. While her words were fine, she started ending every sentence in a weird sneer and would pointedly double check if my wife was sure she wanted any further orders (Coke, extra water, desert) the way she had requested them. It was entirely unnecessary, but luckily the food was good enough that this poor attitude could not bring down our celebration.

When my wife went to the washroom while I waited for the check, the waitress suddenly changed tones and started treating me with pity, which seemed to imply to me that she assumed I was embarrassed or burdened by my wife, which made me pretty mad, but since it was all tone and implications, not something outright said, I felt like it would have just made a scene to try tell her off.

Anyway, I REALLY like the restaurant, but I think I'll stick to other locations for a while, because I don't need to deal with service like that. My wife was so incredibly respectful and polite, there was no reason for this woman to get so spiteful because of a brief hiccup in the...
