I used to come here all the time for meat and chicken, but after what happened this week I will NEVER step foot in this place again.

On Monday, since my usual butcher was closed, I came back here to grab some “fresh” chicken. The smell and taste were absolutely revolting — I knew something was wrong, but I thought maybe I was overthinking. Unfortunately, I trusted it enough to cook it for my family. BIG mistake. Within hours, my kids and I were severely sick and ended up in the hospital.

The hygiene here is DISGUSTING. The butcher never changes his gloves, touches everything (money, counters, doors) and then handles the raw chicken with the same filthy gloves. Watching this alone made me sick to my stomach, and now I’ve lived the nightmare of actually getting sick from their food.

Absolutely love this supermarket. It is a one stop shop for everything ranging from fresh meats, vegetables, fruits, rich selection of spices and ethnic foods that takes you back to your roots and makes you feel home. It is clean, organized and the staff is very welcoming and friendly. Great customer service, delivery option is available which is great especially during the pandemic. A fabulous butchery( Halal) and a huge variety of spices, sauces, lentils, candy and dairy , amongst others. Neat clean and organised , you never have to be at a loss without Shan masalas, Chai, Mitchell’s Jams/pickles and so many things. They have a little corner dedicated to the most exquisite jewellery .
