Teriyaki Experience — Restaurant in Barrie

First time at Teriyaki Experience. Went for lunch with my son. He had the shrimp teriyaki protein bowl and I had the chicken teriyaki protein bowl. They were both really good I don’t know if I’ll ever be a fan of sweet sauces like teriyaki sauce is however the healthy food was amazing. And I couldn’t finish it all because I’m not feeling all that great, so I brought the rest home and for once in my life there’s a decent takeout container that doesn’t fall apart before you get it home.

I’m a little short in the leg so the chair was not the most comfortable, and it is fast food so obviously the indoor area might not be the most amazing but it definitely was nice because the guy behind the counter was really friendly. He suggested a few things and he also asked if we were good with what we got, and then he started a small conversation with us which was kind of nice. Sometimes in places like that you get nothing like that. So he did add to it. If he was the owner manager yeah he’s approaching things a very good way.

I’ll be more than willing to go back and try something else on their menu again. I almost went for the Ramen but then I thought I probably should stick with the healthy protein and veggies and it was really quite tasty. Even heating it up was great.

Since the new owners took over this location, the hot and spicy chicken I usually order, has absolutely no taste and is not hot and spicy. I have given them a chance 3 times with the same result. Other locations in Brampton and Scarborough (Milner Dr) have been great. When Ali, the previous owner was running the restaurant the food was excellent and very tasty and would ask very specifically how much spice you wanted. It’s a shame because of government lock downs he lost this store. I think the owners should give him a second chance at no fault of his own to restore this location ( DO THE RIGHT THING) but, doing the right thing does not apply these days it seems. Ali was a true and passionate cook and deserves a 2nd chance, I can say this because I got to know him and his family for just a little while, he really cared how the food was prepared and made sure everything was fresh and tasty. it was a thriving restaurant and very busy at lunch time, It was a regular lunch time spot for myself and my crew, but shamefully, not any more with food that has no taste, especially for what you pay. This was the worst experience I have ever had in a teriyaki I was treated with racism and hate.

1 .) I went in to this location and went to the washroom befor I wanted to order. The washroom was so disappointing. with no tolite paper with the smell like there was fresh poop on the floor with what looked like actually poop on the walls.

2 .) i came out standing on the wrong side apenrenty I had no idea but the worker there Made sure to let me know in the rudest way possible.

3 .) I was forced to hurry when I was ordering and felt like I was less of a person than the white lady behind me when he came to serve her it was night and day. She was treated like such a important Person.

) finally got my food after waiting longer than I thought. And the food tasted terrible like it was frozen. And so much salt was used. I also asked for mushrooms they said "no we ran out of mushrooms it was to busy to cut mushrooms" I said it's my favourite part of this food he said " to bad"

5.) asked for my money back he laughed and said why? I said the food was bad. I originally paid debit he gave me back my money in Tooney's. And chucheled.
