Shawarma Royale — Restaurant in Barrie

We just came from this place, disgusting. The girl put on gloves to make the food, and then proceeded to take our cash and credit cards. After she touched the till and cash and so on with the gloves she continued to make our food. In the back ground we saw two skewers of raw chicken and beef not cooking just sitting open. The girl behind the counter started to make our food and while man handling the pita to make a wrap ripped it in many places. She filled the pita with so little ingredients and chicken shwarma that she scooped out if a gravy dish I'm assuming left overs from whenever, that it kept coming undone and flopping all over. because if the ripping of the pita she took another pita ripped it open and wrapped the made pita in it, then put it on the grill. She then moved on to make my co workers chucke shwarma poutine, she grabbed alittle hand full of curds and then took alittle out if the dish and put it back into the curds containers. My co workers said just alittle garlic and very mild spice. The girl squeezed so much garlic sauce on that the fries and cheese was no longer visible only garlic sauce all over. My wrap is still on the grill supposedly getting hot and I said to my co worker well that's probably burnt in the I e side and she joked saying I don't think it's even on. I laughed, but only to find it wasn't on as my wrap was cold. The pickles in the wrap are old there was no more flavour, he tomatoes in the wrap were soggy and the lettuce brown. I will never be back to this place. the first hint should have been no one else there on a Friday at noon hour. To all thise who enjoy shwarma...

2022 June: 2/5 Winner of the most disgusting tasting thing I have eaten in the last month award...after I ate this went elsewhere to buy a drink to get the taste out of my mouth, it was that bad...

The lamb shawarma (2/5) I had was barely edible, the meat was overcooked/burnt/dry, not spiced well and just utterly horrible. The bread for the wrap was dry and hard. For the price you pay you really do not get much (just as well since I only finished the little portion I got cause I was famished to begin with...) also, the cashier/cook touched my wrap after pressing on the cash register (probably did not realize it as at first he took my order and then put on the gloves and made the wrap just he missed something on the register so...)...

Positives of this place...the restaurant is clean (5/5), the cashier/cook (5/5) was very mild-mannered, pleasant, and knowledgeable about the product. Customer service in general was great, just THE PRODUCT ITSELF SUCKED.

The cheese they use tastes like next to nothing though based on the flavour I guess an oil based cheese as opposed to milk based?

Apologies for such a negative review but your company really should taste your product before you sell it to...

the place is so terrible like they need to shut down i cant belive they shutted down nandos the best place for some useless tasteless bland shawarma shop ever they need to shut down the bread is so dry and chewy and even if i eat the shawarma with chicken its just bread the chicken is so dry like it came out of a school lunch or something the chicken is so bland and chewy. the sauce the garlic sauce is so bland I added hot sauce and spices to this garlic sauce and it tasted so good make that your sauce royal shawarma the fries are the only good thing that saves it from getting a extreme low the mollases and cole slaw they need to remove. oh also the chicken was raw a few times they didnt bother to cook it through and it sent someone to the hospitial. they need to take this restraunt down BRING BACK NANDOS CLOSE THIS SHOP WORST SHOP EVER.
