This is one of my all-time favourite restaurants. Edmonton doesn't have a large Senegalese community, and Mumbai Dakar is only the second Senegalese restaurant we've ever had. I've eaten Senegalese food in two great Harlem restaurants (Harlem being home to countless people from across the African continent), and Mumbai Dakar can go toe-to-toe with the best of their fare. Chef Solo produces superb dishes from a cuisine that will be a great discovery for most E-Towners. And I can honestly say it's the first time in years where we weren't disappointed in the value of a restaurant! They said they are from India and Senegal: met and became friends working in restaurant kitchens around Edmonton before they decided to open their own restaurant together. So glad to discover this gem not far from home. P.S. They mentioned they currently have a $12.99...
