Mary Brown's Chicken — Restaurant in Bradford West Gwillimbury

Says they close at 9pm. Walked in at 8:40 on a Friday night as there were a few ppl waiting inside he was turning “open” sign off. I asked if he was open and he said “yes” So I said I’d like popping, 9peice chicken with taters and he said “ you can only order chicken” our fryer is off……. (Erased rest of comment)

This was a bad review because of my experience with the staff but I’ve recently gone back earlier in the day and found the service to be great. My order was fresh and the staff were quite nice and went out of their way to help. I figured everyone needs a second chance and we all have a bad day.

They have new owners there and I can’t imagine the difficulties in keeping competent staff these days. Reminds me we should all think twice about putting up a potentially harmful review during these tough times. I’m happy to be going back to my favourite...

Honestly the staff is rude af at front desk. Wasn’t going to leave a review but it’s been like a week and it’s still bugging me so here we are.

For context: Ordered wedges, got fries. Brought it up my order was wrong & instead of fixing it they said that’s not what you ordered (I went specifically for wedges, why would I order fries??) and that if I wanted it changed I’d have to pay for it again (it’s $7, which I did pay again) and for some reason, during the 5 mins it takes to make wedges, they seemed so irritated with me?? I was trying to be so polite with them too, incase she was having a bad day 😭 homegirl basically threw the bag at me to get out when they were finished. The wedges were top tier tho, would recommend getting spicy...

I recommend this Mary Brown's location over all of the Chicken burger places I've been to, they have really good quality chicken. I live 25 minutes away and I still go there once a week on purpose!

There were 2 ladys that made my experience there extra special, they recognized my order I've placed the past few times and said it before I opened my mouth. They don't have to put that extra effort in by making jokes and being friendly and saying thank you and your welcome like they mean it. But they do, and I really appreciate it.

They don't know that I'm writing this review but they helped me on Monday June 16 2025, so thank you!

I will of course keep coming back and I might even experiment...
