Avoid Chilli Chicken House: A Disappointing Dining Experience
Regrettably, my recent order from Chilli Chicken House left me thoroughly dissatisfied, to say the least. Upon receiving the food, it was immediately evident that something was awry. The unmistakable stench emanating from the dishes was enough to deter any appetite.
Not only was the food lacking in freshness, but it also failed to meet even the most basic standards of quality. The chicken, a staple in their renowned chilli chicken dish, was anything but succulent and tender. Instead, it seemed to have been sitting around for far too long, resulting in a foul odor and an unappetizing appearance.
As a result of this disappointing experience, I have made the decision never to return to Chilli Chicken House. Furthermore, I feel compelled to warn fellow diners against subjecting themselves to such subpar fare. It is my sincere recommendation that potential customers steer clear of this establishment altogether.
In conclusion, Chilli Chicken House has failed to live up to its reputation, delivering food that is not only unappetizing but also lacking in freshness. Until significant improvements are made, I cannot in good conscience recommend this restaurant to anyone. It's a regrettable experience that I hope...
Read moreIt’s not easy to find truly great Chinese takeout in Brampton, but we struck gold on our second try! We were short on time and decided to give this place a shot — and wow, we’re so glad we did! We ordered 8 dishes in total: sweet and sour chicken, sweet garlic chicken, chili beef dry, ginger beef, black bean beef, crispy beef, chicken chow mein, and special fried rice. Every single one was delicious!
Two of the dishes needed to be mild for certain family members, and I was a little worried they’d still come out too spicy. But the waitress overheard my concern and kindly offered to adjust the spice level — such a thoughtful touch. And those two dishes were still perfectly balanced flavour.
The food had great taste, great texture, and that wonderful “wok hei” — the unique, smoky, slightly charred aroma and flavour that makes stir‑fried dishes so special. Even though it was takeout, the service was excellent from start to finish: patient, attentive, and accommodating.
I wish I had snapped some photos, but we were too hungry and dove right in. Safe to say, this will be our new go‑to for Hakka Chinese...
Read moreI heard that they opened up a location in Brampton so I decided to check it out. They have one in Mississauga and they’re pretty decent. The service at Chilli Chicken House was outstanding. No complaints whatsoever, always checked up on us, often filled our glasses up with water, cleaned the tables after dishes were done. I wouldn’t say it was the best chilli chicken I’ve tried. We ordered chilli chicken dry, pepper chicken, tiger prawn shrimps, chicken fried rice and Singapore noodles. The pepper chicken was awesome, flavourful, fresh and spicy. Th e chilli chicken was a little too bland for my liking. I’ve tried the chilli chicken at the mississauga location; I thought it was much better. Pepper shrimp wasn’t too bad, had a little bit of a sea food after taste; some people might like that, I personally don’t. The chicken fried rice wasn’t anything special, it was just okay and same with the noodles. I feel like maybe more flavour for the taste buds would be good. Probably wouldn’t go back, there are definitely much better places for...
